Allen Edmonds Northland Camp Moc – $125 ($175)
Boat shoe luxury. Those are something. Just different enough, and might even manage to turn the heads of those who otherwise aren’t huge fans of boat shoes. Traditional rawhide lacing, hand-sewn, and available in four different shades of Horween Chrompak leather. Anchored by a “Weron Nicotine Outsole.” Part of the AE collection that’s made in the Dominican Republic. Currently on sale.
J. Crew “Legacy” Blazer in Ludlow or Crosby Fit – $385
Gone are the brass buttons and patch pockets of their “club” blazer from last season. This time around, they went with tonal buttons, and a more pronounced “topstitching” detail that helps it look a little more like a sportcoat, and less like an orphaned suit jacket. Also, this one is once again made in the silly-soft, almost liquid Super 130s extra-fine merino from Loro Piana. Steep to start, but hang out for a 25% off $150+ code (or, something similar) and it’ll drop into the mid to high $200s. Nice to see that they’ve made it in not just their Ludlow cut, but also the Crosby, which is cut a bit fuller in certain areas for the beefier dudes.
GAP 1969 Slim Fit Bedford 5-Pockets – $19.79 – $23.39 w/ PREP
Sort of a canvas-like 5-pocket with a slight bit of texture. Like a tiny pinwale cord, but with no fuzz. A great pair of pants to have on hand as we start transitioning from lightweight, summer trousers, and back to heavier jeans for fall. These are something inbetween. Already on sale, and the extra 40% off code PREP drops them down into ultra-cheap territory.
Citizen Eco-Drive Flight CA4210-24E Chrono – $185.62*
It’s fair to say that Citizen’s new designs have been a bit lacking as of late. But this one might find a home in many a guy’s watch collection as a go-to casual. Powered by light, 100m water resistance, chrono function, and classic aviation-inspired good looks. Plus, it’s a Citizen, so you know it’ll be dependable. 45mm in diameter, so know that it’s on the big side. *Note: This price reflects an extra 10% off that Citizen & Amazon seem to be doing on select watches. Discount happens at checkout.
Nordstrom Trim Fit Italian Linen Jacket & Pant – $219.98 ($440)
Not the first time these suit separates have been mentioned, but they’re now half off. And it’s not an Anniversary Sale markdown either. That navy suit is going to look great as summer starts to fade, and the jacket can easily be worn with jeans. Italian linen. Extremely well reviewed.
BONUS: Todd Snyder + PF Flyers Nubuck Rambler Lo – $149
And along with the boat shoe luxury that started this month’s most wanted, we now get sneaker luxury. Classic PF Flyers good-looks but made from tumbled buttery nubuck. Lined in pig-skin. Keep an eye on these things. They very well could end up in the sale section at some point. Grey shade that should go with everything. The kind of sneaker you could easily wear with jeans and a laid-back sportcoat.
