The end of the year means it’s time to hand out some awards. No, there’s no little statues to pass along, but over the next few days we’ll still highlight some of the best in affordable men’s style from this past year. And it was a good one. Feel free to send in additional nominations here.
“The blue line suits are all half canvas, the fabric we offer in this line are Barberis 110’s that we buy large quantity in these basics, so that gives us room to offer these at $399.

Suitsupply VP
A Suitsupply “Blue Line”, with it’s half-canvas construction, Italian wools, and attention to detail is a lot of suit for just under $400. Throw in free shipping and free returns and you’ve got a line of suits that has to be the first stop for most looking to add to, or start a collection of sharp suits.
Sure the fabrics can come and go quickly, and the sizing isn’t quite as expansive as their other lines/models (for example, the new medium grey option only comes in regular sizes. No short or long.), but for just a bit more than a rarely on sale Banana Republic fused suit, you can get something that’s quite a bit farther along in terms of quality.
Here’s to Suitsupply continuing, and hopefully expanding, their $399 offerings.
Also Receiving Votes: Claiborne’s suit separates that you can get for around a hundred bucks. J. Crew Factory’s ever expanding Thompson line. The Joseph Abboud for Men’s Wearhouse Made in the USA $495 line. J. Crew’s Crosby, but wait for them to (eventually?) go on sale.
