Nordstrom: New items & markdowns added to their End of Season Clearance

• Paul Fredrick Wool Shirt Jacket – $199 ($399)
  • Ships/returns for free via Paul Fredrick. Think of these as wool chore jackets. I’ve got something similar from Todd Snyder (gotten on major sale) and wear it all the time over t-shirts and polos. Not dress shirts though. Lack of lapels makes it look a little funny when worn with a dress shirt.

This is mainline Nordstrom, not Nordstrom Rack. So everything should ship/return for free. It’s a true clearance though. So it can get a little weird, and sizes/common colors may be in short supply depending on the item.

Amazon’s been on a nice run lately with some Timex deals. Of course, as it’s Amazon they’re super aggressive in changing prices… so their deals disappear seemingly at random (some much faster than others). Remember to check and make sure that at least Amazon is the shipper. You want to make sure they’ve got skin in the game, so if anything goes wrong, they’re the one handling the return.

$94.50 per pair of pants doesn’t seem like a screamin’ deal… but for context, regular price is $148 for the chinos and $168 for the Richmond 5 pockets. … ouch. Welcome to the new normal? So if you get one of each, it’s ~40% off. Which is really quite good for Brooks Brothers.
