For many of us, this is the best time of the year for dressing well. Fall (and winter) provide ample opportunities for layering, mixing in different fabrics, and dressing with intention and/or trying something new. Here are 50 of the best looking new arrivals for men, with affordability in mind. NOTE: Some of these prices might feel higher than normal. It can take a bit for sales and promos to kick in.

Wearing a leather or suede jacket is already a bit of a statement, so any extra zippers, buttons, floppy collars, etc. can all end up looking a bit much. This is the opposite. Dead simple, rich light brown suede and very reasonably priced for a leather/suede jacket. Free and easy shipping as well as returns too, as it’s from Nordstrom.
An annual favorite. Kent Wang’s deerskin touch-screen gloves are soft, flexible, and “The palm side (including all fingers) is calf leather treated with nanotechnology to be responsive to touchscreen devices, such as phones and tablets. This treatment will never wear off, unlike spray-on treatments other makers use.” So no little extra touch-screen-pointer-patch on the index finger of other, cheaper gloves. Nice. Available in black or dark brown. Link above goes to all of their gloves, some of which aren’t touch-screen compatible. Just be sure you’re aware of which you’re buying when you do.
Lecturing in front of the class style on a snoozing in the back budget. Fabric is a blend: 51% recycled polyester / 35% cotton / 12% viscose rayon / 2% spandex. So at least there’s some cotton going on in there.
New color alert! Dial has some grained texture and fades from blue to black. Quick release spring bars make for easy strap swaps. No on-the-fly adjust in the clasp though.

Henleys are one of those things a lot of us cheap-out on because… they’re henleys. (Profound analysis, I know.) Four colors to pick from. 60% cotton / 40% poly, textured (waffle?) fabric.
Unique, tough looking, and can be worn dressed down or dressed up (a bit.) Goodyear welted of course. Suggestion from the brand is to size down by half.

Plenty of colors and patterns with some just-in-for-fall options. The structure of a true sportcoat made with flexible and comfortable knit fabrics. One of their bestsellers. Not as droopy as a lot of other knit “swazers” from other brands. These do have real shape to them. Bottom line: if you want something less formal than a standard woven blazer, but still can dress up with a collared shirt, then these are those. Fabrics range from cotton, to wool blend, to cotton blend, etc. Varies depending on the color and pattern.

Recently acquired by Worn & Wound, Lorier is back and everyone is working for a more consistent customer experience. Meaning, more stock. Hopefully. But those who got in on the pre-order back in July should be seeing their Neptunes landing soon? Here’s to hoping for more opportunities to pick one up (or another one of their models) between now and the holidays.
100% merino. A note on cleaning: They may say you can machine wash them, but… as they’re 100% merino and wool is naturally anti-microbial, just take them to the dry cleaner on the occasion you spill something or you sweat them up real good. “Machine washable” merino sweaters sometimes don’t quite live up to the billing (as washers can really vary depending on how gentle their gentle cycles are.)
Fingers crossed (or toes?) that they fixed the fit this year, because last go-round around these fit pretty weird. Free shipping/free returns though, so risk is abated.
These may require an in-person look because there’s a lot of questions coming to mind. “Melton” is usually reserved for wool, but that’s clearly not the case here. They also look super unstructured… perhaps “swazer” like? Could be a casual to smart casual cheap winner for fall and winter.
One of those Banana Republic Factory items so good you’d be likely to ask “why would I pay for the mainline version?” 96% cotton/4% elastane, and it actually feels like there’s more stretch in there. They move that well, as shown above. Machine wash cold/tumble dry low. Three fall/winter ready shades.
Looks like Spier just restocked a bunch of their half-canvas, all season weight Merino wool suits. Non functioning sleeve cuff buttons for easy tailoring. Two fits (slim or a more athletic leaning contemporary.) And lots of colors. They’re one of the best bang-for-the-buck suits in the business.
Seems to be more of a summer style, until you think about how great these would be as “house shoes” for those who can’t stand flimsy or stuffy slippers. See our in-person here, albeit in a different color.

Nordstrom’s house brand wool / wool-blend sportcoats are a quiet hit. Often they use Italian fabrics, non-functioning sleeve cuff buttons for easy tailoring, etc. And if it shows up and there’s something you don’t like about it, the free shipping/free returns makes it easy to get your money back.
Bonobos took select colors of their knit jetsetter blazers and made them into suit separates with matching trousers. Many have tried to make a suit out of knit fabric. Has Bonobos actually pulled it off? Fabrics appear to vary depending on the color/pattern, with some being a poly/cotton/wool blend.
Outerwear season is back. Here’s BRF’s quilted field jacket in black. Not the standard earth tones. Yes they have a green option too, but the black makes it a little more modern looking, while still firmly rooted in rural/field style.
Silver-tone dial is finished with vertical brushing. Roman numerals are elongated to compliment the 21mm diameter / 36mm lug-to-lug rectangular case. The mineral crystal is raised just a bit with a slight curve, but the height of 8.5mm is truly slim. The brown croc-grain leather strap completes the dressy look, and even comes with quick-release spring bars for quick strap swap outs. And those metallic blue hands? Those’ll do.
