SHOPNOW = 25% off select items & Free Shipping no min. (exp. 11/17)
UPDATE: As noted yesterday, this 25% off most items & free shipping deal ended on 11.17. Same code today, bit of a different deal. 30% off a smaller selection of “winter picks” as well as sale items. No free shipping though. Depending on the price of the item, it make shake down to a potentially slightly better, or worse deal, now that you have to pick up shipping.
Most of us are sitting on our hands between now and Black Friday, but this right here is straight impulse buy territory. J. Crew usually charges a flat rate of $5 for economy shipping ($8 for standard shipping) on purchases under $150. And while five bucks is one of the better rates in the business, that can be a decent chunk if you’re looking to buy, say, just one on-sale sweater.
Not today though. Free shipping no minimum, on top of their current 25% off select items sale (there are a TON of exclusions) with the code SHOPNOW. Picks below are limited to stuff that won’t cost you more than a hundred bucks. Careful though. To apply one bit of philosophy via the immortal masters of poetry, Bush, it is in fact the little things that kill… your checking account.
Cotton Workwear Sportcoat – $89.99 ($188)
Well these just don’t appear to be selling. Great color, thicker fabric, and workwear-inspired details. Mostly unlined. Full review over here. $188 was too steep to start, but at ninety with free shipping? Plenty are gonna give this a good long look.
SLIM Merino Crew or V-Neck Sweaters – $54.75 ($78)
If you’re the type to get your sweaters from J. Crew Factory or UNIQLO (for, $25 – $35)… then $55 is still pretty steep. But they do ship free, they’re already a few bucks off, and the extra 25% off code does in fact help nicely. Tons of colors to pick from too. Cut in their much appreciated slim fit.
Lambswool Shawl Collar Sweatshirt – $59.63 ($79.50)
A lot like a two-toned hooded sweatshirt, only they ditch the hood and replace the cotton body with lambswool. So, nothing like a two-toned hooded sweatshirt. Also available in the blue-ish “heather baltic.”
Mosaic Wool Scarf – $44.63 ($59.50)
Just enough bright color. Not a bad addition to that new topcoat you or the person on your list may want, or may have recently purchased.
Navy Cashmere Scarf w/ Natural Dot – $88.50 ($118)
Or… in case you or that person on your list was extra good this year. All cashmere. Should look good with all of this.
Donegal Italian Wool Baseball Sweater – $66.37 ($88.50)
The telltale speckles of donegal wool in a baseball / raglan sleeve crewneck. Three different colors to pick from.
Cotton Woodsman Sweater – $67.12 ($89.50)
“I didn’t want to be a barber anyway.” This is going to fall into the love it or hate it arena. Larger gauge cotton knit crewneck with suede shoulder patches. Will most likely hit the sale section after the holidays, and with an extra 30% off code… could be had for much less.
Long Ceramic Tray/Valet – $18.00 ($24.50)
J. Crew does bric-a-brac! Not really a knick knack though, since these things do have some good functionality to them. Valets are usually made of leather, but a ceramic one like this does the same job. Good for your keys, loose change, or other miscellaneous debris (which you could very well, in fact, find on the shelf somewhere near Sixteen Stone). Nice weight to them. Couple of different designs to pick from. Shown here with incense and a brass incense holder from Bespoke Post.
Unconstructed Ludlow Sportcoat in Japanese Chambray – $67.49 ($228)
NOT the easiest thing to pull off. But now super cheap, totally unconstructed, and might end up being the perfect knock-around blazer on the weekends. Does have a contrasting collar. Ships free like everything else here, and at least it’s not final sale.
Abingdon Two-Tone Dopp – $51.00 ($68)
Their awfully nice, waxed cotton canvas travel kit, now in a navy on khaki two tone color scheme. Dimensions are 4 5/8″H x 10″W x 5 5/8″D.
SLIM Rustic Merino Elbow-Patch Shawl Sweater – $74.25 ($128)
Already on sale and made in their noticeably closer-to-the-body “slim” silhouette. Slub merino wool. Suede elbow patches. Only available in the “heather ocean” color seen above, but it’s awfully versatile, and should go great with jeans. Also available in a crew neck in “heather Atlantic” for $52.49.
Bowery Slim Pant in Brushed Herringbone Cotton – $66.00 ($88)
Brushed cotton which is extra nice for this time of year. Herringbone pattern + navy = interesting without getting silly. Slim fit though, so be warned that some might have a difficult time getting in these.
Wallace & Barnes Shetland Wool Fisherman’s Sweater – $88.50 ($118)
Still pricey, but this is a price point where you’d find a lot of cotton Fisherman’s sweaters. The fact that this one is Shetland wool is a big bonus. Also available in navy. From their in-house, supposed better quality “Wallace & Barnes” line.
Heather Contrast Flannel Robe – $71.25 ($95)
Equal parts Hef and… Cousin Eddie? Wait. Hang on. There we go.
The Extra 25% off select items + Free Shipping No Min. code SHOPNOW expires today, 11/17/14.
