FF14 = 20% off at Bloomingdale’s
Bloomingdale’s prices are a little steep for most of us to stomach. The goods are higher end, and the costs reflect that. So they don’t get a ton of play on this website. But when they run a F&F discount (like this FF14 code) that also applies to sale items? That means you can double up. It’s that extra 20% off the already marked down price that allows many of us to at least browse. All items below are already on sale unless otherwise noted. You can get free shipping no minimum as long as you’re signed up with their email “loyalist” program.
The Men’s Store at Bloomingdale’s Reversible Belt – $35.70 ($59.50)
Why the heck is it so damn hard to find a stupid-plain, blends-in, decent quality dress belt? Most dress belts seem to have buckles that were designed to be noticed. That’s not what most of us are looking for. The Men’s Store at Bloomingdale’s has a good rep for making solid quality goods as part of their in-house line. Not bad looking for $36.
Saturdays Surf NYC Zac Rain Jacket – $109.20 ($325)
Nice colorblocking going on here. From a sporty brand with a good following, it’s a casual jacket that’ll see a lot of use in the coming months. All sizes available at post time.
To Boot New York Suede Chukkas – $176.50 ($350)
To Boot New York doesn’t rank higher than Allen Edmonds on a lot of people’s lists, but they are made in Italy, use higher quality materials, and do sport a stitched construction. Combine that with a perfect shape and that rusty lookin’ shade o’ suede, and there might be something here. Sizes are a bit limited on this color.
Jack Spade Swiss Brief – $168 ($378)
Jack Spade’s detailed “Swiss Brief” in an appropriately neutral shade (get it? Swiss? Neutral? HEY-OOOOOOOOOOO THE VON TRAPP FAMILY LOVES THAT ONE THE HILLS ARE ALIVE OH-YEAH). Canvas w/ leather accents. Not boring, but still professional.
Barbour Polarquilt Zip-in Waistcoat – $72.43 ($129)
A featherweight for sure, but still cuts some of the crispness out of those late afternoon hikes with the dog and/or significant other. Zips into the Bedale and Ashby coats.
Harry’s of London Suede Chelseas – $283.36 ($595)
Not cheap. But has the sexy.
The Men’s Store at Bloomingdale’s Braided Belt – $33 or Suede Belt – $35.70
More belts from the men’s store but in different & more casual textures. Lots of colors to pick from on that woven belt, and that light grey next to the tan leather accents looks awfully nice.
TBNY Single Monk or Black Suede Cap Toe – $163.80 ($325)
Limited sizes on each of these, but don’t underestimate the versatility of either. Especially the black suede cap toes. Perfect for heading out for drinks if you’re doing the smart-casual look.
Original Penguin Swim Trunks – $52.00 ($65)
Not on sale, but they hit all three points on the swim-trunk desire-o-meter: no scrunching diaper-like waist band, they are lined, and they’re neither tiny short or super long. Perfect.
The Men’s Store at Bloomingdale’s Italian Chukka Boots – $92.82 ($195)
Plain. And awesome for it. Reinforced eyelets stand out a bit too. Made in Italy. Just 10, 11, and 12 at post time.
The 20% off at Bloomingdale’s Friends and Family Code FF14 expires on Sunday 4/6/14
