GYMSPIRATION OF THE WEEK: For those early mornings when your work-out mojo is running low, this.
MEANWHILE…another study that attempts to extrapolate sweeping generalizations about behavior that just doesn’t ring true. This is relevant to your interests if you find yourself lifting weights more often than not.
THE NEVER-ENDING SAGA OF…J.C. Penney. I know, I know, I’m just flogging a dead horse at this point (sadly, for sure). And this recent feature on Ron Johnson’s attempts to marshall the troops sheds a sorry spotlight on the withering brand’s last year. There are no winners here.
FIRE UP THE STILLS: Moonshine is making a comeback. I can say that the movement itself is more notable than the actual product. Actually, the packaging might be the most interesting part. But hey, even I can see its worth as a novelty party item.
MORE THAN JUST A DREAM:
L.A. throwback pop posse Fitz & The Tantrums have just released a solid sophomore effort. This is basically the best ABC album since, well, forever. It is a polished, party-ready collection of movers and shakers featuring big hooks and lots of handclaps. Recommended.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF BENJAMINS: When he wasn’t testing his fate with the elements or assembling his Farmer’s Almanac, or marking his time as one of our Founding Farmers, Benjamin Franklin, one time ambassador to France, was designing a brand new alphabet.
DUDE…no way. Way?
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING? I am far from an expert on “Men’s Health Magazines” but this take on a new endeavor seems to rings true to me for most of them. Just sayin’. (Oh, and #6? Right. Covered here too.)
TAYLOR DOES NOT APPROVE*
*Then again, many an eye has rolled over her kiss-and-tell-all-and-then-write-songs-about-it antics.
