Every so often a weekend comes along where there’s a decent batch of sales, but none of the sales produce enough solid finds to warrant your full attention. This appears to be one of those weekends. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.

Jos. A. Bank: Buy one get two Free Sale (exp 4/28)
The Pick: Three Pairs of Made in the USA Cedar Shoe Trees – $25.00 ($75)
Thanks to Paul and PJ for sending in the style tips about this sale. Jos. A. Bank isn’t favored by many when it comes to their suiting, but they run sales like this which can be applied to other things. Buy one item, get another two items of equal or lesser value for free. Total price for three pairs of trees w/shipping = $35.99. Also worth a look, the stackable cedar shoe racks.
Banana Republic: Up to 40% off Select Items Sale (exp 4/30)
The Picks: Zip Pocket Jacket – $89.50 ($130) | Silk/Cotton/Cashmere Crew – $30 – $39.50 ($69.50)
Ah. The dreaded combo of “up to” and “select items.” Usually that spells for a whole lot of nothing. Not the case here. The zip pocket jacket, while 100% poly, isn’t a paper thin, flimsy windbreaker. And the white piping looks great. Might be one of the best lighter jackets of the season. The sweater has the same terrific fabric makeup of their too-deep-for-some V necks. The “natural” color shown is under $30, while the others are just shy of $40. Also worth noting: Their terrific khaki trench is down to a reasonable $140, and their straight fit colored jean is $59.50.
GAP: 25% off w/ GAPFRESH (sort of expires 4/27)
The Pick: GAP Tailored Cotton/Linen Blazer – $96.00 ($125)
The code gets you 25% off today (Fri.) then decreases by 5% daily through Monday. Blazer is a 65% cotton 35% linen mix, and it might have serious potential. Zoom in on the fabric and you’ll see some nice texture. If it fits like their other cotton tailored blazers, those who are in between sizes should size up and get it brought in at the waist.
Urban Outfitters: The OMG Sale (Yes, that’s what they’ve called it)
The Pick: Hawkings McGill Suede Wingtip Boot – $34.99 ($78)
Who knows if they’re now shipping boots that look more like the pair on their site, but a few months ago they certainly weren’t. Full review on those over here, but it’s hard to complain at $35. The suede cousin of the doing just fine after months and months of wear HMcG leather wingtip boot. Full review of the suede option here.
Sierra Trading Post: 20% off w/ ALBRIGHT2 | 25% – 30% off $150+ w/ ALAPRIL2
The Picks: Khaki Cotton Sportcoat – $47.96 ($160) | Varvatos Wool/Linen Sportcoat – $179.17 ($495)
These codes expire May 2nd, and you’d think they’d have new, similar codes come then. ALAPRIL2 gets you 25% off orders of $150 – $200, while it’ll net you 30% off orders of $200 and up. Use ALBRIGHT2 for anything under $150. The cotton sportcoat has no brand associated with it, and all it says is: “Made for a famous retailer/brand.” Interesting… The Varvatos Star USA sportcoat is one of a few wool/linen blends. Another option here.
Huh. Apparently this week’s handful has been brought to you by earth tones. “They say taupe is very soothing.”
