Sometimes this happens. If an item isn’t selling on the L.L. Bean Signature side, it disappears then magically reappears on the regular L.L. Bean site with the fit labeled as “tailored.”
They call it a blazer, but this is more sporting looking than most sport coats. Thicker tweed, and they even use the word “nubby.” The patch pockets up top, and flap with button pockets on the bottom only add to the field look. There’s also a couple of full priced versions going for much, much more over on the L.L. Bean Signature side:
.
You might recognize the version on the left. If memory serves, it was one of the pieces that L.L. Bean Signature launched with. And it’s as mean looking as a blazer gets. Again, if the recollection is correct, the striped and on-sale jacket was one of last season’s options. Looks like they replaced it with the “black coffee heather” seen on the right.
So would you wear the lighter brown & striped version? Or do all the buttons and flaps mean the stripes make it too busy for you? Or maybe you’re a two button or nothing guy. Leave your take in the comments below…
