Jungle Cents & Bonobos: Pay $30 for $60 in credit
While Bonobos continues to pick up the pieces from the great Cyber Monday Meltdown of ’11, the daily deal site Jungle Cents is moving forward for a $30 for $60 deal. And if you’re anything but a Bonobos newbie, you known that paying full price at Bonobos doesn’t have to happen.
Sure these deals have gotten scarce, and codes seem to be drying up too, but an extra $30 at Bonobos can help out a lot. Especially when their chinos run $90. Bonobos still seems to be running ads (on this site and others) with promo codes. Who knows if they’ll stack with the Jungle Cents offer. Here’s a few picks worth a look:
.
The Lewis & The Clark Blazers – $120 ($298)
Of course you gotta look through the sale section first. It’s mostly decimated, but there’s a few gems in there like these two wool/cashmere blend made in Manhattan jackets. Down to $150 and the extra $30 off makes them $120 shipped. Not for everyone, but they’re made in the USA, they’re a statement piece that’s not too crazy, and they should look pretty slick with jeans, a black sweater, and white button up underneath it all. All sizes are available if you combine the two. 38 for The Lewis, 40, 42, 44, and 46 in The Clark. Only difference seems to be the linings and under collar detail. Button cuffs ARE functional.
Bonobos White All-Rounder Oxford – $58.00 ($88)
Expensive, but worth it. Made in the USA with a nice, mid-weight oxford cloth. And the fit is nothing short of perfect if you’re not super skinny or big. I’ve got one myself and it hardly ever sees a hanger, since I’m either wearing it, or, it’s in the hamper waiting to be washed.
Inglefield Light Indigo Stripe – $38.00 ($98.00)
It’s not oxford cloth, but you do get the same fit, the same Made in Philadelphia Status, and the same fast shipping, return policy, and customer service that comes with their oxfords. Plus, the rounded corners on the button down collar help walk right up to the club collar trend without looking like an extra from Boardwalk Empire. Also on sale.
Esquivel Leather Shoe Horn – $30.00 ($60.00)
For the true shoe addicts. You might be one, or, you might have one you need to buy a gift for. As luxurious as a shoe horn needs to get. Nicely priced at $60 so you can get it for half off with the deal.
Gitman Bros. Charcoal Chambray tie – $40.00 ($70.00)
Is forty bucks a lot for a cotton tie? Absolutely. Can you get by with much cheaper cotton ties? Yes you can. Is there almost always a noticeable difference between super cheap ties and well made ties? Yeah.
Bonobos Slactus Olive Bull Denim – $68.00 ($98)
The Bonobos bull denim line is as close as we’re all probably going to get to the well loved but seemingly discontinued Banana Republic 5-pocket canvas pant. Still pricey for one pair of pants, but really hard not to love.
Coal Headwear “The Taylor” Scarf – $30.00 ($60)
Available in Navy or Charcoal, made in the USA (Portland specifically) and an excellent price for the 70% Angora, 20% Lambswool, 10% Nylon blend. Nice thick stripes too.
