As always, it’s incredibly tough to peg when Macy’s will launch a One Day Sale. Sometimes a month and a half will go by between them, sometimes only a few weeks will pass. One thing is certain: These are sales worth paying attention to. The one-day sale prices are some of the best mark downs in the retail industry. Here’s some of the best from the One-Day-Sale which runs Friday October 21 – Saturday October 22. Items marked with a * are “Web Busters.” In store prices may match up, and may not. Selection on all items (especially shoes) in store can vary greatly.

There’s some potential here. GUESS usually fits slimmer than most, and the lines through the shoulders along with the two simple chest pockets are a huge bonus. No banding at the collar or cuffs, a moto collar, and zippers at the sleeves. One review had kind things to say about the leather quality.
Michael Kors suiting from Macy’s isn’t as trim as say, an Alfani Red or Hilfiger, but it doesn’t drape like a traditional fit suit either. Somewhere in between. So if you’re somewhere in between in body shape, might be a nice template for your tailor to work off of.
From Ralph Laruen’s new Denim & Supply line, which is sort of half way between RL and Rugby. Wool/Acrylic blend and has a weekend look to it for sure.
Not quite sure about that shoulder detail, but if you want something that’s simple but still has a little character, worth a look. Available through Overstock for a little less, but only in black. Ships and returns free.
More traditional and easier to wear than the Kenneth Cole. Part of the best outerwear post. If you don’t have a Macy’s nearby and your shopping options are limited, this’ll ship free and look better than most. Especially for the price, which has dipped as low as $99 in store, but online has been a different story. This is close to that price point.
The newest pants from Dockers. A heavier jean like twill that still has plenty of chino at its roots. Fits pretty slim from what you hear. A better price than what they were going for during the Dockers Khaki event last week. Check the comments over here for more on the Alpha’s fit.
Whoa. A shawl collar? Not something you’d expect from a Macy’s House Brand. Even if it is the one that leans a little younger and takes more risks. Not for everyone, but not everyone likes the standard peacoat/overcoat look either. It’s a wool mix, and no word on how much wool makes up the wool/poly/viscose/other mix.
Sporty without being obnoxious. Available in a dark brown suede or a lighter brown. Different and almost slipper like, but could be a nice transitional loafer until the snow starts flying.
Might be as close as you’re going to get to a full blown J. Crew Ludlow aside from the FACTORY option that’s an 80/20 mix. Calvin Klein’s BODY line fits slimmer than most slim-fits and the lapels are trim too.
Lots of coats and pretty expensive this time. This current Macy’s One Day Sale
