Lands’ End 40% off One Item Sale

40% Off one Lands’ End item with code: WARMANDCOOL & pin 5429

Expires 10/21/11 at 11:59pm C.T.  Credit to Chris B. with the style tip.

Nice catch to reader Chris and the others who saw this.  Tucked away on the Lands’ End site is this 40%  off one item code.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for Lands’ End Canvas items.  But along with launching L.E.C., Lands’ End the parent brand has been improving over the past few years.  The code only works on one item, and free shipping is included on purchases of $50 and up.  Here’s four of the best options for this 40% off sale:

UPDATE:  So this sale has changed a few times in the last 12 hours.  Lands’ End Canvas was part of the sale, and now it’s not.  Allen Edmonds shoes were part of the sale, and they’ve since been removed from the Lands’ End website (but not the Canvas site?  for now?).  And you can’t blame Lands’ End.  If the margins are slim on curated goods, then 40% off a pair of AE’s just won’t do them any favors.  They might even lose money on the deal.

The fine print of the deal is posted at the bottom of the post.  The AE’s posted here are sadly no longer available..
.

Allen Edmonds Bayfield Captoe Boots – $210.00 ($350)
Just over $200 for these = a solid deal

That’ll work.  On Wisconsin.  Gotta love the commitment Wisconsin brands have to each other.  Lands’ End is based outside of Madison, and Allen Edmonds is right there in Wisconsin as well.  Lands’ End carries A.E.’s, and the code works on these.  Not a wingtip but instead a cap toe with a lug sole.  Nothing short of stellar.

Lands’ End Sterling Tie Bar – $23.70 ($39.50)
Not silver-tone. Sterling.

A sterling silver tie bar for under $25?  It doesn’t ship free, but it might be a real quick way to cross a pal off your Christmas shopping list.  Or, not a bad piece to invest in for yourself.  Says it’s back ordered and should ship on 11/7

Lands’ End Flannel Necktie – $35.70 ($59.50)
Something to use that tie bar on.

Lands’ End knows how to make a decent necktie, and this one is perfect for the guys who just can’t stand wearing a tie that’s slimmer than 2.75″.  At a full 3.5″ wide, it’s substantial but not goofy fat (unless you’re pretty slight yourself.)  Go with something larger than a four-in-hand and a collar that’s got a bit of a spread to it.

Allen Edmonds Suede Katmai Chukka – $149.40 ($249)
Would be hard not to want to live in these.

Had to go back to the AE well for these.  It’s like Allen Edmonds took a suede desert boot, threw it in a blender with a pound of awesome and a dash of lug, and this popped out.

The Lands’ End 40% off one item code WARMANDCOOL and pin 5429 expires 10/21/11 at 11:59pm C.T.
