British Designer Ben Sherman offers up options for both of those actions easily, with the Pilton Classic Aviator and the Canvas Weekender Bag.
The Aviators have a slightly thickened bridge but no lower wire. Reminds me a little of the sunglasses Daniel Craig wore as James Bond in Quantum of Solace. Only they’re a little more subtle with the bridge piece and lens shape, plus… the Ben Sherman’s are a third of the 007 price. The Canvas Weekender is sharp. At 17″ wide and 12″ high it’s big enough to hold most of your stuff for a few days away, but small enough that you’re guaranteed to not over pack. (Pack a garment bag in addition if you’re bringing a suit or a couple of blazers.) Comes in two colors, with the contrast working nicely on both.
Not a bad couple of pieces to help you get out the door, yet also still have money in your pocket once you arrive.
