Before there was chemically produced non-stick coating, there was well seasoned cast iron.  Now as a guy you might not be able to cook all that well, but rest assured that the few things you can make, you can make and make better in a cast iron pan.

You can bake stuff in the oven with it, use the thing over an open fire, and of course, on top of your stove.  Learn how to properly “season” it and you’ll never go back.  Many cast iron pans, like this one from Lodge Cast Iron, come with a pre-seasoning baked into them.  It’s okay… but keep it well seasoned and conditioned by following those instructions carefully.
