Tommy Hilfiger Sport Watch – $87.94
Esquire has done it again. They ran a feature in this month’s magazine about the different types of watches you might want to have. One of which is the weekend watch. Great, simple, who doesn’t like having a less-dressy watch to wear on the weekend which can easily make the transition from yard-work to night out on the town?
Only problem is: The cheapest, non digital one is around $200. And it’s a Timex. Allow me to quote from Esquire.com:
“Looking for a relatively inexpensive SOB that you can bang up in your spare time? Here are seven options under $500, and what to look for if you want to spend less.”
I’m supremely confident that I will never have the luxury of referring to a $400 Tissot as a “relatively inexpensive SOB.” C’mon guys, you’re starting to look silly.
I know the attempt was to write an “average guys can use this info” feature but they then failed to provide a decent option for average guys on an average budget.
