Best Posts of 2019: Workwear, Footwear, Underwear

Last week we recognized the Best Affordable Style of 2019, focusing on the top products pumped out by the retail establishment. This week we’re taking a look back at the best (at least what WE consider the best) of what Dappered had to offer in 2019. Not trying to toot our own horn here. Consider this more of an exercise in recognizing what was popular with the Dappered readers, so we continue to create informative content in the New Year. And by the way, to those Dappered readers: thanks.

What I Wear To Work

2019 saw the introduction of a few new things, and an uptick in others. Take for example What I Wear To Work. Some of the Dappered readership took it upon themselves to snap a photo and do a quick write-up of their work wear. Just a heads up guys, we’re still open to submissions. And yes, if you have a personal social channel, website, or blog you’re looking to promote, we may include that in your bio. For requirements, see the bottom of this post in particular.

In Review: The Carmina Oxford from DROP aka Massdrop

Our man Adam Terry did a terrific job this year as our resident shoe expert. Even with the addition of a newbie to his family, Adam found the time to write several shoe reviews for the Dappered community. We’re lucky to have a guy with his knowledge of all things men’s footwear hanging around our corner of the internet.

In Review: Target’s Goodfellow & Co. Fall Roundup 2019

Another contributor who really stepped it up this year and contributed more was Ryan N. Twin. Dad. Web developer. Paper airplane folder. Ryan brought us some great roundups and reviews this year. We’re looking forward to what he has to offer in 2020. Oh, and he put together an awesome roundup of Target’s Goodfellow & Co. fall line, featured above.

In Review: Amazon’s Goodthreads Collection Fall / Winter 2019

And then there was this guy. We had Jason P. come on board this year with an impressive amount of contributions, including this review of Amazon’s Goodthread’s collection for the colder seasons. He’s also contributed quite the array of Style Scenarios, adding a much appreciated personal spin on this Dappered classic. (Hey, we’re 10 years old. We can start calling things on our site classic, no?)

Style Scenario: “Fancy” Cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation

And how could we forget our resident pants man, Brandon D? In this particular case he opted to go sans pants in order to faithfully, yet stylishly recreate Cousin Eddy’s look from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Posing for the above photo and enlisting his (poor) wife to take the shot? That’s what we call dedication.

UNIQLO Airism vs Ex Officio vs SAXX. The Great Men’s Underwear Showdown.

You’ve also seen some posts from one of our oldest friends here on Dappered, Dave I. You know the Podcast Playlist posts? Yeah, that’s Dave. He also contributes a Best of Threads post regularly, and sometimes he likes to write about underwear, as is proven above. Ok, maybe he wanted to write about underwear just that one time. Truth be told, we don’t know Dave’s personal preference for writing about underwear. We’ll just leave it at that.
