FANTASTIC = 25% off Select Styles at Bonobos (exp. 7/1)
This seems out of the ordinary. Can’t recall Bonobos doing a “Select items” sale to this extent in recent memory. The promo email stated that “The votes were in,” and therefor, the select items getting the extra 25% off cut w/ the code FANTASTIC were the “Best styles of the summer.”
Not sure who, or what voted, and where, but at least it’s a pretty decent selection. Not leftovers, not clearance, but wearable now styles. Remember, this is still Bonobos, so even with 25% off retail, it’s still kinda pricey. Sizes seem to be hustling out the virtual doors on this one, so sizes might be more scattered on these picks than normal…
Summer Weight Chinos – $73.50 ($98)
- Summer Weight Chinos in “Light Blue” – $73.50
- Summer Weight Chinos in “Cloud” – $73.50
- Summer Weight Chinos in “Seafoam” – $73.50
- Summer Weight Chinos in “Lakeside Blue” – $73.50
A splurge for a lightweight chino, but if you like the Bonobos fit, their wide variety of colors, and are looking for a lighter weight summer pant, then maybe dive in. You also get the ninja backed service with free shipping and free, easy returns. Big fan of that shade of super light blue on the left.
USA Made Travel Jeans in Boulder Grey or Steel City Blue – $73.50 ($98)
Truth be told, it’s probably too hot to wear even the lighter-shades of travel jeans right now. But once late summer finally arrives, they’ll be something you’ll be wearing often. And well into the fall too, when you want to wear light pants but still have the feel of a jean. More on Travel Jeans here.
Foundation Grey Microstripe Cotton Partially Lined Suit – $337.50 ($450)
Pretty sure Bonobos is still fusing their suit jackets, but they aren’t stiff and don’t move like they’re fused. Plus, these have a partial butterfly lining in the back, and what little lining they do use is bemberg. So those are some major pluses in the keeping-cool-department. Available in slim or regular fit. Remember that on the slim fit jackets, the tail seems to be even shorter than the regular fit. Nonfuctioning sleeve buttons make for easy tailoring. As good of a summer-wedding suit you’ll find for under four bills. And if it arrives and you disagree? Send it back for free.
Oceanside Cotton/Linen Cable Cardigan – $118.50 ($158)
Great for those who are lucky enough to take off for the Oregon/Washington or New England Coast this summer. Or if you’re in flyover country, headed to a mountain lake that cools down at night. Wear it well into the fall. Hell, wear it in winter.
Foundation Grey Seersucker Suit – $337.50 ($450)
So. Much. Want… but they never made it in anything other than a slim jacket. Some of us can’t squeeze into a Bonobos slim, and then there’s the shorter tail issue. Terrific shade of grey(s) for the seersucker though. Oddly enough, it might be fully lined, instead of partially lined like the cotton microstripe suit?
Engineer Stripe Belt – $37.50 ($50) | Stretch Plaque Belt – $67.50 ($90)
Wait another month or so and these might end up in the sale section. Stick around for an extra % off sale items code, and you might be able to get em’ for a steal. Both are perfect for the warm weather, and that stretch-plaque belt looks incredible (and is priced as such). 1.5″ wide for the striped belt, and 1.25″ for the braided stretch belt.
Unconstructed Grey Stripe Blazer – $186 ($248)
Another jacket that some would have purchased, only if they would have made it in a standard fit as well as their slim. Just slim though… which is odd. Wider set stripes on a light background + barely any lining or structure should help keep you cool when it’s hot. Lower patch pockets and double vent in the rear.
Interlachen or Nassau Golf Polo – $28.50 ($88)
From their golf-wear line “Maide.” The red + blue “Interlachen” polo’s description says 100% jersery, but maybe that’s a misprint? Seems like all the other Maide polos are a performance, wicking blend of cotton and poly. Which isn’t a bad thing this time of year.
From the Sale Section: Washed Chinos in Grey or “Jet Blues” – $68 ($88)
The Bonobos flagship washed chinos are pretty light-weight as it is, so if you’re looking for a summery pant yet don’t want to pay the premium for the ultra-light “summer weight” chinos, consider hitting the sale section. A couple pairs of their warm weather shades are sitting just under $70, so, less than the summer weights with the code.
The Bonobos 25% off “Fan Favorites” code FANTASTIC expires tomorrow, 7/1/15.
