Brooks Bros.: $100 off $300, $200 off of $500 w/ BCSP15
This is a bit of a strange one. No advertised code on the site, seemingly no email blast (?) to customers… but there’s a pretty hefty code floating around out there: BCSP15 should get you $100 off $300, or $200 off $500. Little to no exclusions too.
Bad news is that you’re going to have to spend, out of pocket, $200 (plus shipping) minimum. That’s a lot. That’s no trip to Target for a t-shirt and a Timex. But if you’re a fan of Brooks Brothers, or always wanted to give the heritage brand a shot, then now might be the time. Their usual codes and deals are more like 15% – 25% off, and you can save more than that here. Especially if you double up by hitting the sale section. Many thanks to Jacob for sending in the tip on this one. Word is BCSP15 expires on Monday, April 20th.
Fitzgerald Fit Tartan Sport Coat – $274 ($748)
Already on sale. Good amount of sizes available as well. Certainly has more of a fall/winter look about it, but it does have a full canvas and is cut from English Wool. So, should be built to last for years to come. Already on sale.
Fitzgerald Fit BrooksCool® Suit – $498 ($698)
A perfect shade of grey, fabric, and lining (just half-lined) for the warmer weather to come. A wool blend that’s been engineered for better ventilation. Full canvas construction as well. Now at a Suitsupply like price point. Sizes on this solid light-grey option seem to be moving quick. They also have them in a light grey plaid, a true-blue, as well as navy.
Filson Twill Computer Briefcase Bag – $200 ($300)
Even the Filson stuff is up for this discount? It does appear, for now, to be the case. Not the original brief, which has 2″ less in terms of depth. Still water repellent, still made in the USA, still has bridle leather accents. And hits the absolute perfect price of $300, which then is up for a $100 discount. Also available in black.
Regent Fit Two-Button 1818 Hopsack Blazer $348 ($548)
Doesn’t get any more classic. Textured hopsack Italian wool. Half-canvas. Logo buttons. A little too Ivy League for a lot of us, but for those who appreciate the tried-and true classics? Two hundred bucks off of a Brooks Brothers 1818 Blazer is pretty darn good.
Suede Crepe Soul Boots – $348 ($548)
Mentioned in the handful on Thursday (but it was a late addition, so, putting it back in here). Pretty sure those suede boots are made for Brooks Brothers by Alden. No, it’s not boot season. But still.
Red Wing 9016 Cigar Featherstone – $250 ($350)
These, like the suedes, already got a mention on Thursday, but are worth another mention. You’d probably only see something like this, marked this far down, during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale (coming up in July). Still not boot season. Still stupidly tempting. UPDATE: Looks like Brooks Brothers has excluded Red Wings from this one. The code will apply in your shopping bag, but at the end of the checkout process it gets removed. Thanks to Michael L. for the tip/correction.
Italian Cotton “Luxury” Suit – $449 ($1298)
That still might seem like a lot for a cotton suit, but boy does it sure seem to hit some high notes. Made in Italy from Italian cotton, 3/4 lined, real horn buttons and a ticket pocket. Side vents on the jacket. Looks like something Mathis would have worn.
District Check Jacket – $349 ($1098)
From their “Natural Craftstmanship” capsule collection, which was supposed to highlight high end construction and details in a select few garments. Length on this one looks to be on the short side, but it is Made in Italy, just 3/8 lined, and made with, wait for it, Super 180s wool with some silk woven in. So this is pretty much going to feel like like butter. Careful though, wool this high up the “super” chain (the higher the # the finer the strands) can be less durable.
UPDATE: Then there’s this for the same price. From reader Brad: “Butter is an apt description. It’s a gorgeous jacket, with a depth of color in the weave that just doesn’t come through on the webpage. Unlined, very light, it’s a perfect spring/fall jacket here in the South, and would be also be a great summer option elsewhere.” Thanks to him for the tip!
Filson Medium Duffel Bag – $245 ($345)
Quite possibly the last duffel bag you’re ever going to buy. Also available in olive. Also available in the bigger (read: enormous) “large” option. Large as in, you could live out of it for… oh, life.
Signature Tartan Smoking Jacket – $349 ($1098)
Oh. Like you wouldn’t. Also, love the first review: “ELEGANT AT ITS BEST Once it’s on; I’m a king. I walk around the house and I bring feng shui to the scene.” I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean, but I love it.
Thanks again to Jacob for the tip on this code. BCSP15 is set to expire on Monday 4/20.
