5. Suitsupply Blue Herringbone Napoli – $399
Not navy, that’s for sure. Probably not as electric blue in person? Small width herringbone adds some visual interest to the thing, and it’s from their more affordable $399 blue line. Still half canvassed and all that, they’re just able to keep the prices a bit lower on the $399 options due to bigger fabric buys. Super 110s Italian wool. Now, if they could just start making a few $399 options in the slightly lower button stance “York” fit, we’d be in even more business than we already are. We’d be so in business, we’d be in like Flynn. Wait, no. Nope. Nobody wants that. Withdrawn. Yikes. So that’s what that means.
4. Bespoke Post’s “Refresh” Box – $45.00
It’s a bag in a box. One of Bespoke Post’s best is back. A made in the USA waxed canvas dopp kit from Blue Claw Co (with an awfully close twin running $75) stuffed to the zipper with grooming goods. The highlight of the grooming stuff might be the 4.4oz of Cremo Face Wash. More on that stuff over here. For a full review of this box from when it first came out, head this way.
3. Timex Intelligent Quartz Blue on Black – $96.00 w/ 20OFFVET ($165)
The contusion edition. Goodness. 43mm. Black/dark grey stainless steel case. Mineral crystal, 100m water resistance. Now an extra 20% off (the already nicely lowered price of $120) through Amazon when you use the code 20OFFVET.
2. Polo Ralph Lauren Diamond-Stitch Racing Gloves – $88 (but often on sale)
They’ve been making a quilted leather “racing” glove for years now, and this season they’ve tweaked the design just a bit. Quilting stops at the knuckles this year, with smooth leather from there on out. Expensive, but they are fully lined in lambswool, and they do avoid the ho-hum looks of everyday Isotoners. Sold at a lot of department stores so keep an eye out for sales and they should dip to the low $60s / high $50s at some point pre-holidays.
1. Allen Edmonds Bleecker Street Boots – $395
Was just $299 during the recent Rediscover America sale. Currently $299 if you want to play the Factory 2nds game, and there’s an extra 20% off Factory 2nds sale launching on Thursday. So as long as they don’t jack prices around at the Shoebank, 2nds will drop to just under $240. V-tread combination tap sole is standard, and should help out with traction in the crap weather months. Shown above in brown burnished calf.
BONUS: That UNIQLO restocks the Camel color for their Topcoats – $149.90
Starting to wonder if they ever HAD any stock in the Camel option when these things launched. Hardly any other sizes left in black or charcoal, with navy being the only color with any real size selection. Not the warmest, no, but awfully good looking. A nice winter coat if you’re either: A. good at layering, or B. live in an area where it doesn’t get bitterly cold. Now, if you could only buy one in your size. Or, any size.
