As a thanks to the vast majority of you who choose to not use extensions like adblock on Dappered, we’ve started devoting 5-10% of our total ad space to showing art instead of ads. This initiative also makes the site look better, plus it gives some free exposure to a few artists each month. If you or someone you know might be a great fit for Art As Ads, send an example of work, plus a short bio, to submissions@dappered.com. Be sure to check out the Art As Ads terms and conditions before submitting. Here are this month’s artists,
At an early age Andrew was always captivated by art. Drawing on walls with permanent markers and getting in trouble – he found his calling. Nowadays, you can find him around Chicago, illustrating and working as a graphic designer. Just living the dream.
Simon Yiu is an illustrator living in Toronto, Ontario. He has studied art extensively since the late 90’s hoping one day he can use his art to change the world. Throughout the years, he has worked as an art teacher, a book cover illustrator and a medical blog illustrator. He believes art is a way of communication and should be able to be enjoyed by everyone. Currently, Simon is teaching at play art Discover which is an inclusive art space and offers classes not only for art students but also for special needs students who like art as well.
Anthony Cavins is primarily a painter but dabbles in other mediums as well. Anthony pulls a lot of inspiration from music, lyrics, human interaction, questioning people’s motivations, relationships, and being a father. His motivation is the constant feeling that he is here to create.
