Super 150s suits, Bonobos Zombies, & More – The Thurs. Handful

Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.

Bonobos: Tiered ZOMBIE sale $10 off $75, $25 off $150, etc

The Picks: Double Breasted Madison Topcoat  + Dark Grey Socks = $391 TOTAL ($506), Slim Ging Crosby in Light blue + The Merrimack Grey Belt – $66 total.  Made in the USA Travel Jeans in any shade – $88 ($98), Cappu-Chinos Brown Washed Chinos – $78.00 ($88)

Bonobos is running a “Zombie Invasion” sale, and you’ll need a few codes to take advantage:

  • FASHIONVICTIM = $10 off $75
  • SCAREDASFIT = $25 off $150
  • OFCORPSE = $35 off $200
  • KILLERLOOKS = $50 off $250
  • SKULLANDBONOBOS = $125 off $500

The dark grey socks are a good pick for adding to your cart if you’re looking at any big ticket items close to the $500 threshold. At $488, The Madison Topcoat (featured over here) would only be $50 off unless you added the socks. So… use the socks (or something else small) to unlock a less expensive price tag. Strange that the Ging Crosby is available in all of those sizes. Especially in slim (here’s a comparison of Bonobos Slim and Regular Fit shirts). Both the shirt + belt are already on sale, and just barely nudge past the first threshold. And ten bucks off a pair of their washed chinos or travel jeans? Nice of em’.

Jack Spade: Extra 25% off Sale w/ SALE25

The Picks: Nylon Canvas Military Brief – $104.25 ($225), Sailcloth Jacket – $165.00 ($295)

The Jack Spade sale section is far from overflowing, but a hundred bucks for that no-nonsense briefcase seems like an awfully good deal. Also available in black. Not a lot of sizes left in the jacket as of post time.

J. Crew: 25% off $150+ w/ SHOPNOW

The Picks: Ludlow Glen Plaid Super 150s Suit – $487.48 ($890), Ludlow Glenplaid Brown Sportcoat – $224.25 ($328), Two Slim Merino V-necks – $117.00 ($156)

Code was set to expire yesterday, but it looks like they’ve extended it through tomorrow. And it’s currently working on the just added to the sale section, Super 150s (yeah, 150s… thus the huge price) glen plaid ludlow suit shown above. A beast at almost five hundred bucks, and sizes are VERY limited for the pants. But… man. Ticket pocket too. Lots of exclusions, but surprised the suit is still getting the cut.

Ralph Lauren: Up to 40% off + free shipping w/ FALLSALE13

The Picks: Suede Belt – $49.99 ($75.00), Quilted Racing Gloves – $61.60 ($88.00)

The extra 15% off that came with getting in early on the RL Fall sale is gone, but the free shipping no minimum code FALLSALE13 is certainly well appreciated. Stuff like that suede belt, or this season’s renewal of the well appreciated racing-style gloves might be worth considering now that the weather has cooled off. Great buckle on that belt, and the quilted stitching + wrist strap keep the gloves interesting.

Jomashop: Citizen Watch Event + Free Shipping w/ FASTSHIP

The Picks: Eco-Drive Perpetual Cal. Chrono – $199.99Eco-Drive Black Plated Military – $87.50

There are a lot of… questionable websites that sell watches out there. But Jomashop seems to be relatively respected (never ordered from them myself…) They’re running a Citizen “Doorbuster” event through 11/5, and the prices are honestly pretty darn low. That, and since the brand is Citizen, they should be dependable and less of a risk (compared to buying a high end automatic from the web). Review on the Chrono over here. Thanks to Jose P. for sending in the style tip. Got experience with Jomashop? Leave it in the comments…

BONUS – The Checkbook Wrecker: Bloomingdale’s Designer Sale

The Picks: Frye Made in the USA “Walter” Boot – $243.60 & in Nubuck too ($348), Salvatore Ferragamo Addo Double Monkstrap – $392 ($560), Jack Spade Suede Duffel – $385 ($550), Danger Zone ready Cashmere TactleNeck – $175.00 ($250)

Well that’s all pretty damn expensive. The Frye’s are a nice, more affordable alternative to the Alden Indy. Made in the USA too. Now how’s about some picks that aren’t so financially deadly? The J&M Tyndall Boot (reviewed over here) is down to $129.50, they’ve also got some monk straps from J&M in the sale, while these should get most of us through winter. But those are all shoes though. Smell the glove(s)? Shipping is free over $50. UPDATE: Check the comments for the quality, or lack there of, when it comes to those Frye boots. Eesh.
