Looks like this Gilt sale ends Thursday at Noon ET. Yep, Gilt. So no returns for cash. Just credits.
Gilt launched a tandem of Brooks Brothers sales yesterday (one clothing, one shoes & accessories) that was probably one of the better sale offerings in awhile. Markdowns included hundreds off their awesome football leather briefcase, another couple of uber-polished briefcases, suede drivers under $90, and slim fit OCBDs for $40.
But you guys know how Gilt sales can go. You sneeze, and stuff is sold out. Like all of those items listed above. Gone.
Yet these are still hanging around in most sizes…
Hm. Still expensive for a casual shoe. Brooks Brothers owns the Peal & Co. name, and these are made in the U.K.. The majority of the Peal & Co x Brooks Brothers collection is manufactured by the heritage shoemaker Crockett and Jones, but no specific word on who makes these. They’re no longer available on the Brooks Brothers website, but other prices seemed to match up with the other goods in the Gilt sale (so, chances are their retail was $295?). And you’d have to think that a $300, made in the U.K. boot is going to be solid quality and resoleable.
But Gilt is selling these. And since they’re under $200, you can only return them for Gilt credits. Not cash.
Inspired by all those back to school shopping lists, let's grow it up and do…
