Timberland Father’s Day Sale: Use Code FATHER11 Expires 6/20
Timberland is one of those brands that almost all Dads seem to like. And you’ve got to hand it to Timberland. Even though they’re quite far off the urban dandy’s radar, they’ve done a nice job with upgrading the aesthetics of a lot of their gear. Their upscale Timberland Boot Company collection is proof of this. Especially their Horween Leather Counterpane Spectator.
Sadly, the 20% off code FATHER11 doesn’t work on the high end T.B.C. stuff, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to eye up for your Dad or yourself. On with the picks…
.
Timberland Classic Men’s 2-Eye Boat Shoe – $60.00 ($75.00)

Proof that black and brown can go together. Especially with that splash of white contrast at the sole. Brassy looking eyelets and hand sewn uppers. Might just be one of the best looking non traditional color scheme boat shoes out there.
Timberland Cotton/Nylon Bomber – $63.99($98.50)

Already on sale and the extra 20% knocks it down to a cheap $64. Not the type of jacket you’d wear out on the town for a dressed up night by any means, but if you (or your Dad) is the more rugged type? Nice stand up collar, mainly cotton with enough nylon mixed in to keep the rain out.
Timberland Earthkeepers Canvas Desert Boot – $55.99 ($80.00)

UPDATE: Same boots are available over at piperlime in a surprisingly large amount of sizes. For a dollar less and more importantly, you get free shipping and returns. Credit B. Uncle in the comments.
Like Clarks only canvas and half the price. Sometimes you just need (and want) to wear a knock around boot for watching the game, going for a stroll, or hitting a happy hour.
Timberland Striped Fabric Belt – $20.00 ($25.00)

Affordable as it is and comes equipped with the all important guaranteed this thing won’t slip during the day rivets. Nice enough looking buckle, leather covered end, and twenty bucks.
Timberland Newmarket Nordic Hiker – $79.99 (reg. $120)

If pops is the type to take off early so he can go on a hike for an hour or two, these European styled hikers might be the right way to spiff up his boots collection. Just enough style without going over the top. Nice to see that someone can make a hiker that looks at least a little interesting.

*at… and if I may add, can anyone comment on the sizing of earthkeeper shoes? I’m reading conflicting reviews ranging from true to size to 1-2 sizes too large.
They typically run about a size too large. I bought 8.5 and I usually wear 9.5. They’re great shoes though. (For the price)I have the 6″ city zip in brown. Comfortable too.
Nice catch. Piperlime’s size selection is usually pretty paltry by the time a shoe goes on sale, glad to see these are fully available. I’ve got a pair of 6″ city zips, and a 10.5 was true to size for me.
For me, at least for the city zips, I had to go a full size down from 10 to 9….sucks when you buy online especially with limited sizes and the long wait, but if you’re clever you can either find a Timberland store to swap out with the right size, or in the case of my city zips, find a place like Nordstrom and try them there first and buy online, or ask for price matching.
Can I ask a dumb question? It’s been a really long time since I bought a belt… how does one determine size? I’m like a 34-35 waist… do I get the 36 or size up to the 38? thx!
general rule: up 2 inches from your waist size. so, you’d do a 36, especially if you’re in the “losing” phase of weight management. if you’re going up, i might opt for a 38.
Gap has a similar belt going for $20. Can’t find it online, but it’s just plain navy with leather covered end and silver buckle and rivets. Only about 1″ thick too, which is nice for shorts.
