Best of Florsheim Spring Clearance – Use code LINK20 for extra 20% off
Clearance prices end 6/30/2011
Gotta hand it to Florsheim. As much as many of us would love to have a closet floor full of $300 shoes, that $80 – $150 sweet spot is more realistic. And Florsheim can deliver in that range with consistency.
Their spring clearance is on and they’re advertising an additional 10% off with the code Clearance10. Instead, use the seemingly perpetual 20% off code LINK20 for double that, and that’s on top of the clearance mark downs. Free shipping kicks in at $100 PRE code. Which is nice. On with the picks:
.
Florsheim Imperial Clifton – $95.20 (reg. $160)
There’s a strong anti-tassel contingent out there. But with the Clifton’s slim toe, leather sole, and goodyear welt construction, these are proof that tassels can look far from grampa-ish. Nice to see top stitching that actually rounds out with the toe instead of squaring off. Ships free since the pre-code price is over $100.
Florsheim Kearney – $54.32 (reg. $90.00)
Not the sleekest sled in the shed, but it’s a buck for little more than $50. Available in Brown and Olive too… nothing fancy here. Sizing looks to be getting somewhat limited.
Florsheim Imperial Westhaven – $102.32 (reg. $170)
Not sure on this one. Looks like it could be slim from some angles, but clunky in others. With the rubber sole it might be a great way to dress up jeans and a go-to for cotton chinos. True Oxford style closed lacing. From the Imperial line.
Florsheim Otero Loafer – $47.92 (reg. $80)
Takes a bit of swagger to pull these off. Lower non-clunky looking profile, two colors of leather you don’t normally see together… dirt cheap. Might work decent with a certain pair of green pants.
Florsheim Imperial Willett Loafer – $102.30 (reg. $170)
Not for everyone and will look better when your (bare) feet are in them and when worn with, y’know, pants. Wingtip loafers might seem a little odd at first, but (and this is coming from personal experience) you get used to them. And then you’ll wear them any chance you can when you’re wearing a cotton blazer with jeans or chinos. Ships free since they’re over $100.
Florsheim Dennison Driver – $71.92 (reg. $120)
Road-tripping in a fast car while wearing driving mocs are one of the real nice ways to spend a few summer days. Built for shifting and comfort, no unnecessary stripes or embellishments. Just a nice penny loafer strap on the top. Also available in a can’t miss (that’s not always a good thing) cognac.
Florsheim Flanagan – $66.32 (reg. $110)
A medium brown pair of plain toe zip up boots will get you real far for three of the four seasons. We’re just not entering the season you’re most likely to use them in. I’ve had and beat to death an extremely similar pair of boots I picked up from the Macy’s house brand Alfani about three years ago. They still look great. Does that mean these will hold up just as well for you? Who knows.
The Florsheim Spring Clearance ends 6/30/11. Who knows when the code LINK20 expires.
