TW Steel Leather Strap Watch – $176.90 ($295) | Chronograph – $254.90 ($425)
Sporty. But that’s to be expected when you’re the “official timing sponsor” of an F1 racing team. Based out of the Netherlands, TW Steel became a sponsor of the Renault F1 racing team last year and will continue that partnership through 2012.
The brand’s tagline is “Big in Oversized Watches.” And make no mistake, if you’ve got skinny wrists then you’ll be drowning in either of these. But if the measurements are correct on Nordstrom.com, the diameter is a large but not over-the-top-gigantic 45mm. So unless you’re shorter than average or a true skinny-dude, it’s not that far of a reach.
Bold thanks to the numbers, the yellow stitching, and those rivets on the band. Points for limiting the colors used on the watch to just three or four. Brushed stainless steel case should keep some of the shine down.
The chrono is going for twice the Nordstrom price on ASOS, but the pics & 360 view there should give you a better idea of the size. First reaction on the Chrono is it’s too busy. But the non-chrono? Would you wear it? Leave your take below.
