J. Crew Final Sale & J. Crew Factory 40% off Sale
The J. Crew Factory 40% off Sale ends at 11:59PM ET on 12/24. Final sale J. Crew items can’t be returned.
Thanks to Barry for sending in the style tip on the Factory Sale.
It’s a little late to be shopping online for someone else, but today just might be your day to pick out a few post holiday arrival presents for yourself. Maybe you’re sitting on an end of the year bonus or you’ve made a resolution to upgrade your casual wardrobe in 2011. Perhaps you’re like me and just popped the armpit seam on an old merino v-neck you’ve had for years. Whatever the rationale, J. Crew and their step down brand “Factory” have launched pretty big sales. Here’s some picks…
WARNING: The J. Crew items are FINAL SALE. So no returns. You’re stuck with it once you purchase.
.
J. Crew Fine Lambswool Crew – $39.99 (reg. $60) | Factory Merino V – $29.50 (reg. $50)
Believe it or not, Winter just officially started a few days ago. So there’s plenty of sweater weather left. The fine lambswool Crew is a great weekend sweater, and the Merino V should be fine enough to layer under just about anything. Four colors to choose from on the V-neck, just two on the crew.
.
J. Crew Tattersall dress shirt – $49.99 (reg. $69.50)
Is fifty bucks for one dress shirt a little steep? Yes it is. But for the minimalists out there who like gray suits and solid black ties, this shirt allows you to wear both of those items at once. You need some color, you need some pattern and this delivers with a perfectly proportioned blue tattersall.
.
J. Crew Chesterfield Formal Topcoat – $299.99 (reg. $395)
Look what came back. J. Crew’s chesterfield coat is the traditional pick for when you’re going to a black tie affair. Could you wear it other places? You bet. And you better if you’re gonna drop $300 on the thing.
.
Factory Casual Money clip – $8.70 (reg. $14.50)
Who says your money clip has to be some gleaming symbol associated only with dressed up affairs? You can still keep your cash in a money clip even if you’re wearing an old deconstructed blazer and jeans. Use one of these.
.
J. Crew 14-wale Corduroy Sport coat – $89.99 (reg. $138)
It’s the carob color, it’ll go with jeans, and sizes are pretty limited. Remember, final sale.
.
Factory FINAL SALE wool/silk stripe tie & wool herringbone tie – $19.99 (reg. $39.50)
Factory even has their own final sale section, which is where you’ll find these ties. Same rules apply for their final sale though, no returns. Low risk though on either of these standards.
.
J. Crew Wool-Cashmere Grid Stitch Shawl Collar Cardigan – $119.99 (reg. $168)
A big sweater in weight and price. For the coldest days. Reminds me of those old shaker wool letterman’s sweaters that were worn back (way back) in the day.
.
Factory 484 Slim-Fit jean in dark rinse – $38.70 (reg. $64.50)
UPDATE: Thanks to Grant and Nate in the comments section for setting us straight. The 484 is WAY slim. Skinny even. Nate says they’re even more slim than the Levi’s 514. Which leads me to react with a hearty: “Oh HELL no.” Thanks to both of them, and especially Nate for measuring the hem…
Factory makes jeans huh? Every once in awhile when the Levi’s 501 is referenced, an email comes in or a comment gets left asking about similar jeans that have a zip fly instead of the classic button fly. These have a zipper, but I haven’t tried them on. I don’t know if if they’re similar to the 501. BUT… they sure look/read/sound like the might be. (see the update above)
The J. Crew Factory 40% off Sale ends at 11:59 pm on 12/24. J. Crew Final sale items can’t be returned.
