The post holiday clearance sales are on, and Florsheim has marked down a large swath of their inventory. Combine the clearance prices with the currently working 20% off promo code Link20, and you could get some great looking shoes for under $100.
The Isanti loafer and Elsmere laceup both come from the Florsheim Imperial collection. Short of the collaboration with Duckie Brown, the Imperial collection is as high end as the brand seems to get. They promise better leather and craftsmanship, and the prices start around $160. With the code on top of the clearance price, both of those shoes end up just under $100. But it looks like the free shipping on orders of $100 or more gets applied BEFORE the extra 20% off is deducted. So… free shipping on those two shoes.
The Gering boot’s regular price is just under the $100 free shipping threshold, so buy a $2.95 container of black shoe creme to get the free shipping, use the Link20 code, and they’re $81.27 shipped.
Happy post holidays.

anyone have any experience with Florsheim Imperial line? I’m looking to get quality lace ups and wanted to know if they are on par in terms of quality and durability as Johnston & Murphy or Cole Haan. I’ve tried the Florsheim lexington and was impressed with the quality. Elsmere seems very nice considering its the high end line. Any opinions?
@Anuj, I have 2 Florsheim Imperial shoes, and the quality is on par with Johnston & Murphy and Cole Haan. Great shoes if you take care of them.
@Anuj, I have no idea as I’ve never owned a pair. But that Gaffney Boot
on their site is making me want to take the plunge. Anyone know where Florsheim shoes are made? When it comes to sunglasses and boots I avoid “Made in China” like the plague.
I own the Gaffney in Brown as of this past week and after three days of solid wear I can safely say I’m impressed. I had a pair of Florsheim Imperial that I bought used that’s had utter bad luck in the repairs-needed department on ONE of the shoes (in order: sole accidentally partially came unglued, heel broke) but I’m going to chalk that up to buying used – the Gaffneys actually have a great footbed for my dumb ol’ picky feet.
Made in China, though. I guess I don’t know any better!
I can’t vouch for these particular styles but I can vouch for the “Imperial” label. I’ve had three pairs of their old-school wingtips and mine have worn like iron. The Imperials are definitely a step up from their normal line and it’s obvious in the leather. They take a shine really well and you have no problems getting the re-soled. If I buy Florsheim, I always make sure they are Imperial. Like Anuj said, they are on par with J&M or Cole Haan.
Too bad they dont ship to europe as it seems. Its a shame…
I really do like those Gering boots, but wonder how well they would handle the slippery sidewalks in Minneapolis. I own a pair of the The Palladium Boots from Urban Outfitters and they’re great. The Ritano boots – not so much if there’s any snow or ice on the ground.
I was able to pick up a pair of the Gering boots yesterday at a local Florsheim store. Apparently they are being discontinued and they are marked 50% off at stores until they disappear. Not a bad boot for $65. Very satisfied.
