Macy’s One Day Sale Picks – November 16 – 17, 2010
As always, it’s incredibly tough to peg when Macy’s will launch a One Day Sale. Sometimes a month and a half will go by between them, sometimes only a few weeks will pass. One thing is certain: These are sales worth paying attention to. The one-day sale prices are some of the best mark downs in the retail industry. Here’s some of the best from the One-Day-Sale which runs Tuesday November 16th – Wednesday November 17th. Know that we’ve only picked items with a wide range of sizes.
.
Tommy Hilfiger Texture Oxford Fitted Shirt – $27.99 (reg. $59.40)
Recommended by Nick and HM in the comments section of the first slim fit shirt review palooza, you might have to size down in these. Hilfiger stuff can sometimes run big. Even though the brand successfully rebooted itself a few years back, some of their apparel can still run large. Even if it says fitted on the tag.
.
Hilfiger Trim Fit Pinstripe Suit – $199.98 (reg $525) | Trim Fit Tux – $199.98 (reg $525)
Speaking of Hilfiger, their tremendous Trim Fit pinstripe suit and Tuxedo are both on sale for just under $200. Both are now two of the brand’s flagships with the suit jacket and pants being a true trim fit. It’ll still need some tailoring, but all off the rack suits do. Be warned, the jackets run a touch long on these. I’m 5’9″-10″ and wear a short in the jacket.
.
3/4 ct. t.w. diamond earrings in 14k white gold – $299.99 (reg. $700)
Buying a woman jewelry can be a nightmare, but these are about as safe of a bet as it gets. Diamond studs in white gold go with just about anything. And at 3/4 t.w. they’re not huge, but they’re not specs either. For $300 they won’t sparkle like an almost colorless incredibly well cut diamond, but they’re still diamonds. The holidays are comin’ up guys… just sayin’.
.
Bulova analog digital hybrid sport watch – $119.00 (reg $250)
And now back to something for you. Leave it to Bulova to somehow be able combine a standard sport analog dial with a small digital window. Could become your new favorite down time watch.
.
Timberland Earthkeepers 6″ Boot – $144.99 (reg. $170)
UPDATE: You can get these for $136 with free shipping at shoes.com with the code SHOEDEAL (exp. 11/21)
Same goes at shoebuy.com but you’ll need the code EMLTHXGIVING10 (exp. 11/25)
Thanks to Brice who sent in the styletip!
The dressed up and dignified work boot is a big hit this season. And boot making veteran Timberland is leading the way with these. Also available in black, but the burnished tan just looks better. Nice subtle stitching across the toe as well.
.
Fossil Forest Leather Lace Up Boot – $119.00 (reg. $148.00)
Way more casual than the Timberlands right above… but if you’re looking to dive into the moc-toe boot trend, these won’t leave you plowing in head first. A little more subdued with the tonal sole, but still plenty tough looking.
.
Alfani Leather Jacket – $99.99 (reg. $399.50)
Hang on here… under $100 for a leather jacket? Looks pretty simple, and although it’s not the Alfani RED line which is more fitted, it’s still a simple looking jacket that doesn’t look too bulky at the sides. Nice stand up collar too. But for under $100? Is that possible?
.
Calvin Klein Slim Fit Textured French Cuff Dress Shirt – $41.99 (reg $79.50)
The current Palooza champ and at the lowest price of the season. Perfect for the guys who like to wear subtle cufflinks and need a crisp 100% cotton dress shirt.
.
Tommy Hilfiger Bar Stripe Silk Tie – $18.99 (reg. $49.50)
Unabashedly preppy, simple, and a staple for just about every guy’s wardrobe. Just limit the other prep influences in your getup and you shouldn’t look like you fell out of Dead Poets Society.
.
Protocol Boxing Set – $49.99 (reg. $60.00)
Oh c’mon. You know you want it.
This current Macy’s One Day Sale ends on Wednesday November 17th
