INC Blazer SALE – Two Under $30 Slim Fit Blazers

INC Slim Augusti Blazer – $25.99 (reg. $70) | INC Core Two Button – $29.99 (reg. $70)

It wasn’t that long ago that we were all asking where all the affordable blazers had gone.  Well, found two.

If you’re going out for dinner and drinks, the easiest way to set yourself apart from the untucked button-up wearing male masses is to throw on a blazer.  A tailored slim one at that.  It gives you shape, makes you look more powerful, and you can always offer it to a woman if she looks like she’s feeling cold.  Chances are she won’t take it, but she’ll be impressed with the fact that you’re not a totally heartless wad of nothing.

Steer clear from the scratchy plastic poly blazers (which actually sound like snow pants when the sleeves rub against the body), and go with a mainly cotton blend.  Make sure the shoulder pads are low profile and the jacket its pre-darted at the sides.  Then take it to your tailor and have it taken in even more.

Either of these from the Macy’s house brand INC fulfill all those requirements.  Get the slim Augusti in the black light pinstripe and pair it with jeans, an oxford, and yes a smooth sweater vest with the weather turns cooler.  Go with gray for the Core two button and wear it with a gingham shirt until the leaves being to change color.

the core two button is now 29.99. Cant beat those prices…the blazer is far from perfect, but hey that what the tailor is for. Copped!

Great catch! I must be missing it, but can anyone point me to a sizing guide for these blazers? I’m a 40R, but not sure which S,M,L,X size i should get. . .

    thanks in advance!

@Justin: Depends on how fitted you like your blazers. I can wear either a 40R, 40S, or 38R (depending on the brand) and at 5’10” 165lbs I’m a medium in these. But I like my blazers more on the fitted side…

Got the medium Core Two in grey. Thanks for the post, and the help sizing! hard to believe they don’t have a sizing guide of some sort.

Thanks for the tip! I went to my local Macy’s, where they honored the online sale price. Nabbed myself the last size small in the pinstripe. What a sharp blazer!

I am 6 ft tall and 223 lbs currently wearing a large / tall shirt.
What size jacket do I order?

@Bill: I’d go… XL? But if you’re wearing a Large shirt, and not XL… that makes me think go with a Large…

copped the core 2-button in black since the Augusti was sold out. Tried these one last week and had the “in” that it was going on sale, but was late! Pretty much the same thing. The Augusti is a faint pinstripe and a hair shorter.

    6’2 –> 168lbs Medium was fine.

Great find. I’m 6’3 200lb so I ordered L in both. Rather have it taken in substantially than find out the sleeves can’t be let out enough.

Awesome tip Joe! I went to my local Macy’s and showed her the ad on my iPhone and she said they would honor it on several different blazers as well which was awesome. I ended picking up the grey Core two-button, and a navy pinstripe blazer (I have no idea what the name is) for $60! Thanks again for writing this blog.
