It looks like Guess was inspired by the classic work boot shape of a Red Wing, slimmed it down all over, and added some not too over the top modern stitch and suede detailing to finish it off.

What they ended up with is the footwear equivalent of a styled up trim fit chambray work shirt.

No you’ll never frame a house in these. But what they are good for is getting around town, staying comfortable, and actually enjoying the occasional scuff or ding you’ll pick up.

Padded collar, waxed laces, lug sole. Almost every size available for around $90.
