Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend or a bit earlier. Five of the better sales are below, plus bonus sales if need be. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
Nordstrom Rack: New arrivals are rolling in
- Made in Portugal(?) Peter Millar Navy Plaid Wool Suit – $569.97 ($1,045)
- Made in Portugal(?) Peter Millar Grey Plaid Wool Suit – $569.97 ($1,045)
- Bonobos Riviera – $49.97 ($85)
- TUMI Sycamore Slim Briefcase – $379.97 ($550)
- Made in Italy Bruno Magli Perforated Suede Driving Loafers – $129.97 ($250)
Mainline Nordstrom’s huge Anniversary Sale may be over, but Nordy Rack has got some new arrivals of their own starting to trickle in. A reminder that free shipping at The Rack won’t kick in until $89, and returns will set you back a pre-paid label (unless you can get your return to a physical Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack store).
Amazon: 41mm Citizen Promaster Restock – $242.25 ($300ish)
They’re back on significant sale again. Fast prime shipping available too. The watch is solidly… good:
- 41mm diameter but oddly enough wears a hair smaller than that, even with the 22mm lugs.
- Thickness is a beefy 13.7mm, but that’s not uncommon for a tool/dive watch.
- Automatic movement, brushed 3-link bracelet, and a much appreciated on-the-fly micro extender.
- Day & Date window at 3 o’clock. Screw down crown.
- Crystal is mineral instead of sapphire, and while the bezel isn’t as tight and snappy as some may like, it certainly gets the job done well while looking retro/almost like the old Seiko 007’s bezel.
- No quick-release bracelet or lug holes, so changing out the bracelet for a strap will require a spring-bar tool.
Overall, it’s a solid diver from a good brand, and when on sale like this it can feel a little like a “baby” Planet Ocean (before they hyper stylized the P.O. with their latest edition) for less than 3% of the current Omega’s asking price.
adidas: Extra 20% off select w/ SPLASH
- Handball Spezial – $70.40 ($110) select colors
- Train Essentials Training Tee – $15.20 ($25)
- 3-Stripes T-Shirt – $20 ($35)
- Prime 7 Backpack – $41.60 ($65)
It can be annoyingly difficult to figure out just what is and what is not included in certain adidas promo codes. Often a style can be included in some colors, but excluded in others. Just keep an eye out for the “this item is excluded from all promo codes” label once you hit the product page.
Banana Republic: 10% off gift cards
Last weekend for this. Giftcards are almost always excluded from any sort of promotion BR may be running. So this is a nice little treat from them. If you happen to be a parent with back-to-school-aged kids, it should also work across their family of brands: “Gift cards may be redeemed for merchandise in-store and online at Gap, Gap Factory, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory, Old Navy and Athleta.” All sales final on gift cards of course. Deal ends Monday.
Allen Edmonds: Extra 25% off sale items
- Fifth Avenue Cap-toe Oxfords – $276.75 ($450)
- Kingston Verse Double Monks – $262.49 ($475)
- Courtside Sneakers – $199.99 ($325) Imported
- Bone Suede Park Avenue Verse – $247.49 ($450)
- Espresso Liverpool Chelseas – $284.99 ($550)
- Grey Suede Como Penny Loafers – $284.99 ($475) “Handcrafted in Italy”
Ends Monday. Discount has already been taken, so no promo code needed / no additional amount is coming when the shoes hit your cart. Also be on the lookout for any final sale or even Factory 2nds shoes lurking in their regular sale section. Anything tagged as final can’t be returned or exchanged. Any Factory 2nds will incur a steep $25 restocking fee if returned.
Also worth a mention:
- Huckberry: Their sale section has seen a few new items added
- J. Crew: Extra 40% – 60% off Final Sale styles w/ SALETIME
- Old Navy: Extra 10% off everything (on top of their currently running deals)
