Huh. Can’t explain how I missed this one, but it looks like JCF (quietly?) launched a 20% off $100+ deal last week, and the only restriction is that it’s not good on 3rd party branded merchandise. Even tested it out on suiting. And? It certainly appears to be working at post time. That’s a really nice deal for those looking for a warm weather style upgrade with a suit, or, need a basic or two for the warm weather wedding season that’s approaching. Remember, your total purchase has to be NORTH of a hundred bucks, so at minimum, you’re spending eighty out of pocket here. Off we go with the picks…
Yes, these are sold as suit separates, so there are matching pants if you want a full suit, but the jacket does great on its own (and would fit in quite well with the “how to wear it” from earlier today). Sadly, this is one of their suits that they only make their true slim “slim fit” pant to match. No standard fits. Just slim. So, thunder thigh types need not apply.
These have been stuck at the $299 price point for a good long while. And, they still are minus the code, but as already mentioned… HEYSPRING is knocking an extra 20% off here. As good as it’s gonna get for a versatile, wrinkle & crease resistant suit. Available in the medium/lighter leaning grey shown here, or a navy. Full review can be found over this way.
A well loved standard, now available in that awfully good looking “marina blue” shade shown above. Fused of course, but moves pretty darn well. Available with a slim or a regular fit pant (be warned, the slim is a true slim). Non-functioning sleeve buttons make for easy tailoring. A terrific starter suit, or, a great go-to for guys who don’t wear suits more than a couple times a year, if that.
Remember, this code applies to more than just suiting and sportcoats, but since this is JCF and not a spendy brand, you’ll have to load up more than a few items in your cart to hit that $100 threshold. Those lightweight chinos in their not too slim, not too baggy “sutton” fit are great for when it heats up, and oxford cloth pants are hard to screw up. Chinos above are a size 33×30 on 5’10” / 185.
The color is labeled as “English Grey” on the site… but boy does it look like it leans towards the blue end. Grey or light blue, it could still be a major winner in the warmer months. Only available with slim pants.
It’s back, in JCF’s terrific “Thompson” fit, and just partially lined. It’s light in color and weight, and at first glance looks like any other normal spring or summer blazer. BUT, those stripes? They’re horizontal. They’re also slightly faded and very small in terms of width. So while some will see those East to West running stripes as an automatic deal breaker, they really are pretty easy to wear if you give em’ a chance. Shown above is last year’s model, which had a very faint blue stripe (but looks really neutral in person). This year it appears to be a faint grey stripe. Not gonna be a huge difference in person compared to the shot above, but know that going in.
Currently sitting at $34.95, but if you buy three shades you can apply the code. That drops em’ to $27.96 a pop. Not bad if you wear shorts a lot, and want something lighter weight than a standard chino for the summer. 9″ inseam on these which falls just right for many a guy. Not knee length, but not bootylicious either.
If you’re afraid of polka dots, have no fear. The “dots” on this jacket are more like a micro grid, since the fabric is a square weave instead of circular print. Much more subtle and less wacky-jacket-guy. More structured than their partially lined linen/cotton sportcoat. A bit crisper, but not stiff. Fully lined in acetate. Shown above is a 40R on 5’10” / 190.
If memory serves, this light khaki linen blazer is identical to the ultra-light navy sportcoat from last year. Meaning: it’s so lightweight it borders on flimsy. So, be warned. It’s probably more shirt than blazer.
The Extra 20% off $100+ code HEYSPRING runs clear through April 15th. So… if they happen to run a (rare) suit sale or something? Many of these prices could drop further. Probably wishful thinking, but, fingers crossed.
The Huck team is off on vacation. Which means their big winter clearance is very…
Brooks Brothers starts their winter clearance with an additional 25% off sale items.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
With a focus on holiday events. It's their last sale before their shipping cutoff.
