NOTE: Free shipping kicks in at $100, and you can take $15 off $125+ with SPRING15. Y’know, in case you’re really stocking up. Many thanks to Michael G. for sending in the tip on the code.
UPDATE: Annnnnd less than a day later, the solids are pretty much out of stock in normal sizes. This is what tends to happen with UNIQLO.
Many thanks to Adam, Patrick, and Jarrod for all sending in style tips on how UNIQLO’s well loved button down collar polos just got back in stock.
Available in six different solid colors, and three different options in horizontal stripe. And while we’ll still do our annual Polo-Palooza in a month or two (where we search out the best affordable polos available) many of us see these things as having no equal.
Size medium on 5’10” / 180 lbs
The button down collar keeps its shape throughout the day. It stays at attention, and there’s no pancaking into floppy wings, or collar tips curling up. The cotton-poly blend really does breathe well, and it also dries easier than an all-cotton polo if you get sweaty.
Up close with the lightweight, “dry” fabric. Has a crispness to it.
The fit is trim through the sides and sleeves, the three button placket looks great with either one or two buttons undone, and the chest pocket is a welcome detail for those who sometimes carry a pen or notebook around with them. They even look decent with an unstructured blazer (see below).
Listed at $24.90, and last year they did go on sale for $19.90 during promos and specials.
Thanks again to Adam, Patrick, and Jarrod for sending in the tips about how they’re back in stock. Been keeping an eye on the UNIQLO site, with fingers crossed that they’d return. Here’s hoping UNIQLO can keep them in stock during the upcoming warmer months.
