First, the bad news. Thompson suiting is excluded… again. Seems like JCF is sticking to their “you may have your codes, but they shall not be used on our suits” strategy. Dang. Good news though is that this is one of those free-shipping no minimum codes. So, that’s an extra $5 in your pocket for purchases under $100. Not bad, especially for the large swath that doesn’t live anywhere near a J Crew Factory Outlet Brick & Mortar.
Not as low as they’ve gone for (seems like they bottom out in the mid $80s range) but the free shipping is nice… being that with the code it drops under the usual free shipping $100+ threshold. Seems like it should be a great option for those with legitimate concerns about the lapels & sleeve buttons of the JC Penney option over here. Anybody get their paws on this thing yet? How’s the linen? Decent? Comes in S/M/L/etc sizing, instead of the exact chest sizes.
Fully lined but lighter weight than the herringbone cotton/linen option. Available in exact chest sizes.
No disrespect to Target’s fantastic Mossimo 60/40 cotton poly blend tees, but the extra cost on the all-cotton JCF options are worth it. Slim & trim through the sides, super soft cotton, and a bit of visual interest thanks to the colors & pocket.
See above. Ditto, but with stripes. Holding up great and gets worn once if not twice a week. Size shown here is a medium.
WANT IN WHITE. But, there’s no white. The navy might look pretty slick under a grey suit or sportcoat though. As long as you’re not a sweater. And if you are, you might end up with some noticeable dark spots under your arms. But… dat pucker.
A basic button down in their sunwashed oxford cotton and a slimmer fit. Ah, but… UNIQLO’s slim fit OCBD is $19.90 right now with shipping at $7 if you’re under $50. Free shipping at UNIQLO kicks in right now at $50+.
Not a summer weight chino, but a warmer weather appropriate jean for when it cools off or the sun goes down. A jean, but saturated in color and without the denim look.
Do popovers look a little bit like scrubs? Sure. Are they comfortable as hell? AAaaaaaabsolutely. Button down collar keeps it from flipping and rolling too. Just wish they came in a slim option.
Absolutely falls into the category of just-different-enough. Wear it with jeans, a washed cotton blazer, and some suede shoes for a date-night look that’s relaxed, sharp, and not too boring.
Fear not the Turq! It’s a summer color for sure, but it’s not as loud as a Nantucket red or even a pink oxford cloth pant. Looks good with navy up top too. Cut in their slimmer sutton fit in a summer-weight chino cloth.
In the clearance section, but the code & free shipping still applies. Lots of sizes. Slim fit, cotton/poly blend. Final sale. No returns.
This, a Luxe touch polo, and a pair of casual loafers or white canvas sneakers… and you’re good.
J Crew & J Crew Factory bags don’t have the best rep, so it’s probably not gonna be the last duffel you buy… but it’s nice and affordable, looks decent enough, and at 2,320 cubic inches, it’s got space, but it’s not gargantuan. More weekend options over this-a-way.
Has a bit of that “Murdock just escaped from the Mental institution again and he was wearing this” look to it. YOU CRAZY FOOL.
