Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
Honest to goodness Harris Tweed blazers in either herringbone or a nicely loud (but not too loud) plaid. Not bad for $120. Never found these in store, and if memory serves from comments past, those of you that did find them, the fit reviews were… mixed? Armholes were low? Or were they fine? Meanwhile, $143.99 for those Claiborne Suit Separates is more than fair. Much better than the Uniqlo options. Full review here. You’ll need to grease your cart with some socks for the just under $100 threshold Camel Hair blazer. Fit on that thing is fantastic though.
NOTE: The above prices are for 2nds quality, and might not be available in your size/width/color of choice. Might want to email shoebank@allenedmonds.com to see what they’ll have in your size.
There are some hoops you have to jump through (it’s not just a point & click), but some guys swear by these factory outlet 2nds quality sales. The ordering isn’t done online, but instead in-person at outlet stores, or over the phone. Reddit has a great guide on how these types of sales work, and you can follow along with the guys on threads. Bottom line: You might be able to land a pair of 2nds quality Allen Edmonds, with minor if not totally unnoticeable blemishes, for under $200. Or… less. (Strands 2nds for $199? Franciscans for $144.50? Sure.) Pretty sure you’re on the hook for returns if they ship a pair of 2nds quality to you? UPDATE: Return cost is a $10 restocking fee. Thanks to you guys in the comments. Many thanks to Ryan N. for the tip.
IT’S ALL FINAL SALE. That’s the catch. No returns. None. Zip. Zilch. And that can be risky, but many of us know what fits (and what doesn’t) from Bonobos. Made in the USA Bottle rockets for $40 – $60 is pretty solid, as is that English Wool / Tweedy blazer for $120. Filter at the top of the sale section by your sizes. That should help quite a bit when it comes to sifting through this pile of end-of-season merchandise.
The Pick: 58mm Intruder in Matte Black – $104.25 ($139)
Code appears to work on almost if not everything on the RE site, but the Intruders are something else. Slighty squared off/angular lenses on an aviator frame. And no shined rock-star frames on this one. Matte black frames and grey lenses. Sunglasses with style that doesn’t mess around. Made proudly in the good old USA.
Size selection is all over the place with this one. There’s plenty of Small, Medium, and Larges available, but not necessarily on all items at the same time.
If you had to chip an inch and a half off ice off your windshield this morning, you might be thinking about the warmer season to come. And Suitsupply is feeding the style side of those desires this morning. Pre-order is live. Not all of their items from their spring look book appear to be available though (that cream/white colored plaid? not there yet), but most are. And the wool linen and all linen options (like this and this above) are pretty tempting. Browse at your wallet’s risk.

Brooks Brothers starts their winter clearance with an additional 25% off sale items.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
With a focus on holiday events. It's their last sale before their shipping cutoff.
