Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
File this one under “this has to be a mistake.” Made in the USA, recraftable, sure looks like the 5th Ave. Forty bucks? They forget to throw a “2” at the front there? It’s going into the cart at this price, but it’d be surprising if they actually shipped at this price. Black, walnut, and burgundy available. Thanks to David and Ritesh for the tip. Can’t imagine that this is the real deal though.
UPDATE: Looks like the deal is quickly drying up. Some have gotten confirmation emails, others are now reporting in the comments that the price jumps back up to $335 retail once you put the shoes in your cart.
The Picks: Made in the USA Levi’s Trucker Jacket – $99.00 ($198), Leather Monk Strap Desert Boots – $99.00 ($198)
It’s a true clearance, so sizes are all over the place and often sparse. Especially when it comes to suits and blazers. So know that going in. But, there are a few items lurking with a good size selection.
The Picks: “Tremont” Cotton/Linen Suit ($448) + Oxley Shorts ($58) & use JHANCOCK = $381
Multiple tiers, multiple codes, and the codes only appear once your shopping cart has hit a certain level. But hey, if you’re looking to get a pair of their flagship chinos, you can still get ten bucks off. Also, it’s worth dropping a pair of shorts in your cart to tip the $125 off level (as seen above) if you’re looking at a suit in the mid $400s. Here be the codes:
The Picks: Lewis 100% linen sportcoat – $223.50 ($595), Savannah wingtip in Beige, Bone, Black or Grey – $197.25 ($375), Canvas Laptop Sleeve – $102.75 ($195)
The blazer is a total splurge. But, 100% linen, looks like it has an incredible cut, there’s that nifty ticket-pocket, and it’s made in Italy. Quality should be pretty damn good. And when you compare the curb appeal of it to this, well. SONOFABEESTING. Ahem. Shoes are made in Italy.
Careful with Gilt, as always, know their return policy… which is pretty rough being that most of it is for credit only. The more casual stuff launches (or launched, depending on when you’re reading this) at noon ET today. Sportcoats, blazers, suits, and designer stuff seems to go up at 9pm ET tonight. Could be awesome. Could be dreadful.
Also worth a mention: Banana Republic has put a bunch of inventory on sale, and an extra 30% will come off (unless it’s a blazer, suit jacket, or another excluded item) with the code STARS30… that drops their stretch shirts to around twenty bucks. Maxton Men is running 15% off site wide with the code FREEDOM.
Under Armour's sale's on sale, and a Bespoke Post bestseller from the past gets resurrected.
5 outfits mined from Banana Republic's 40% off "get it early/avoid the rush" deal.
Crews to Cardigans. Half Zips to Shawl Collars. Plus the pros and cons of each.
Smart choices, both in style and practicality, for rainy fall days.
Suede shoes and suit deals too.
