Good news and bad news here. The bad news is that the 35% off code BR35TREAT does carry with it the usual exclusions: “BR Picks, Monogram, Heritage, Men’s Performance Collection, men’s suit jackets, men’s and women’s blazers, leather apparel, cashmere, men’s Gavin, Dawson & Emerson pants…” The good news is that 35% off is pretty solid. The great news is that you can lump it on top of a bunch of select markdowns that just went live yesterday.
This one’s a little goofy because there are good markdowns on blazers, but the code won’t apply. Yet it does work on most of their pants, so while the code won’t apply to a suit jacket, it will work to double dip on matching suit pants. Got that? Confused? Me too. Off we go.
The code won’t work here, but the markdown is decent. Now almost 30% off, and we all know that 30% off codes are all but dead for blazers and suit jackets. 100% linen exterior, but BR has a tendency to load up their interiors with poly. So, while it might be lightweight, it most likely won’t be super breezy. Got one on the way for a full review.
The steal of the sale if you’re a cuff link guy. Marked way down and with the code they drop to twenty-five bucks a piece. Buy two and they ship free. The BR slim fit will still need to be brought in by a tailor for some, but if you’re always in a jacket or blazer, they’re more than workable.
The “tailored slim” is even slimmer than their normal slim shirts. And… they could probably even come in a bit more in the chest. But they’re noticeably slimmer. Nice price now with the code.
Inexpensive single monks you can afford to beat up. Reviews are all over the map, but it’s a BR shoe, so that’s almost expected. The tan has been re-stocked, and there’s a good amount of sizes for the black as well.
This almost seems like a mistake. Marked down to $39.50, and then dump the 35% off code on top of that? Terrific fit, nice mid-weight canvas style cloth that’s not as heavy as denim, and very similar to options from a few years back.
Key here is to size down. Also know that it’s more of a slub stripe. Very uniform. Not an all over slub where there’s some randomness to the variation in depth of the weave. It’s all lined up in the stripes.
The code won’t work on the jacket, but it DOES work on the pants. Pesky exclusions. Still drops it to the mid $200s, which is doable if you’re in the market for a summer suit and the tailored fit works on your frame.
Also not up for the extra discount, but a rare discount on a Mad Men piece. Hat tip to James for sending in a style tip about how these might be going for (much) less in store. IF… your local brick & mortar is selling the Mad Men collection. Shades of last year’s L.E.C. Madras. Still love that thing.
The 35% off code BR35TREAT expires Sat 4/27. As do the markdowns on those select items.
