Amazon up to $50 off Shoe Sale

SHOE2013: $20 off $100, $50 off $200 select styles (all 3,000 of em’)

Here’s the deal with these Amazon tiered shoes sales:  The code only applies to “select” styles, they have to be sold direct by Amazon, and you’ve got to hit those tiered amounts of $100 or $200 to get the discount.  The throbbing retail machine that is Amazon has set all of these select styles aside on an interior sale page.  So stick with that pre-filtered group and you shouldn’t find yourself trying to apply a code to a pair that’s not eligible.

There’s over three thousand pairs eligible for this code, so filtering is going to be a must.  Code SHOE2013 is what you’ll need at checkout, and it doesn’t expire until Valentine’s Day.  Off we go.

Allen Edmonds Dalton – $325 ($375)
Behold the Dalton

The Holy Grail of wingtip boots.  A bit of a bucket list purchase.  Full review over here.  Hardly ever go on sale since they’re so popular, and thus, the $50 off helps quite a bit.  Still a massive splurge.

Allen Edmonds Norwich – $294.79 ($350)
Now under $300 at Amazon.

Built on their 2 Last, which has an “elongated toe and slightly higher instep.”  Even if the toe is elongated, this is still Allen Edmonds we’re talking about, so don’t expect some hyper-spear like Euro looking monk.  Available in Black or Brown.

Allen Edmonds Kenilworth – $244.95 ($295)
Won’t let you down.

The plainest of the plain, but a great investment, uh… all the same.  Sometimes less really is more, and the Kenilworth is exactly that.  The case for this shoe as a foundation over here.

Cole Haan Air Charles Chukka – $151.00 ($228)
Mid $100s with solid quality?

Nike owned CH seems to be making a real comeback in the quality department.  Most of their shoes above $200 are now coming with hand-sewn construction instead of bonded soles.  That, and the overall feel of their shoes seems to have jumped a notch (see the Jayhawker… got a pair and they’re outstanding).  The Cole Haan website labels the Air Charles as sewn and the images seem to support that.  Available in multiple colors, but sizes are scattered.  Size range is pretty good for the Mahogany pair shown here.  Already marked down to $171 from the $228 retail price.

UPDATE:  Credit to snoboardp in the comments who found these on 6pm.com for $136.

Cole Haan Gunnison Driver – $128 ($148)
Where’s an Austin Healey when you need one?

You can find cheaper drivers for sure, but these also look like they’re built a little better than most.  Classic grippy sole & heel, rawhide lace tie in the front, and a waxy, lighter leather that’ll be perfect come spring.  Well reviewed too.

Florsheim Asset Suede Single Monk – $99.95 ($120)
Under $100 suede single monks.

Key with these is to go with the suede.  Not the highest quality, but they’ve held up nicely on this end with some decent rotation.  Outfit ideas for what to pair these with over here.

Florsheim Gaffney – $120.00 ($140)
“That’s levitation holmes.”

Before there was the Stafford Camlin, there were these.  Noticeably higher in quality with a more aggressive lugged sole.  A little late in the Winter to add to the rotation, but the perfect boot for “aw hell, it’s a mess out and I don’t want to trash some nicer shoes.”  Well balanced profile, more than a few shades to pick from.  Full review here.

Johnston & Murphy Melton – $155.00 ($175)
The rare, mid $100s goodyear welted dress shoe.

The less rich man’s version of the Allen Edmonds Park Avenue.  Conservative true-oxford with closed lacing and a Goodyear Welted sole.  Black or bordeaux are your color options.  Made in Mexico.  (The similar, perforated cap-toe Aldrich II is going for $170 thanks to the code.)

Timberland Earthkeepers 2.0 Waterproof Moc Boot – $81.96 ($198)
That’ll work for $80.

Quite possibly the steal of the sale if you’re looking for something to keep the late winter / early spring muck off your feet.  Waterproof, part of the Earthkeepers series, and has that classic lighter sole workin’ boot look without going over the top.  Just barely over the first threshold at $101 on sale, with the extra $20 taking it down to $82.  4.5/5 stars after 21 reviews.

Timberland Earthkeepers 6″ Boot – $93.46 – $108.46 ($180)
Trimmer than the Moc boot.

Also from the more eco-friendly Earthkeepers series from Timberland.  Again claims to be waterproof (really?  These are?), lower profile through the toe than most rugged boots, and an aggressive sole.  Word is they run a little big, and like plenty of earthkeepers, might not wear the toughest.  Soles on these tend to grind down for some pretty quick (although this pair from way back when is still going strong).

Magnanni Miro Double Monk – $249.00 ($299)
Eyes. Has caught many.

Made in Spain, still a bit on the expensive side, and sleek as all hell.

Sebago Osmore – $106.63 ($210) | Sebago Kettle – $115.63 ($190)
Dock meets woods.

Part of the funky Sebago X Filson collaboration.  Same collection has been floating around on Jackthreads for awhile.

The $20 off $100 / $50 off $200 code SHOE2013 expires 2/14/13.  Sizes and selection can come and go, and remember that these select styles must be sold direct by Amazon to get the discount.  Sometimes if a size sells out, a 3rd party retailer will then sell that particular size, and the code will no longer apply.
