Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these Handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
.
The Picks: MacAllister Brickman Suede Boot – $103.60 ($158) | Montague Satchel – $210 ($315)
The sale section has been picked over pretty hard, and this code doesn’t apply to factory items, but there’s a few finds. The suede boots are a bit of a secret steal. They’re made in Italy and according to customer service they can be re-soled. Perfect shape, great color, and suede is a good way to mix it up on the weekend or quiet easy nights out. The Montague Satchel has this in the description: “Designed to last a lifetime (or two), we also strategically placed reinforcement rivets at all the pressure points.” So J. Crew must have some sort of faith in how it’s built. A lifetime or two? Probably not. But $210 for an all leather pebbled brief is pretty good. Single compartment in that one. Code expires Sunday.
The Pick: Travel Jeans to Palermo – $43.50 ($98)
Having a pair of grey, or in this case “faded olive jeans” is something that comes in handy if you wear a lot of blue. More power to the blue on blue look, but sometimes you want some contrast on your lower half when wearing a navy sweater. These are now more than half off, have that Bonobos fit and Ninja backed shipping and returns, and come in straight fit. Sizes are a bit scattered, but as of post time there are some decent waist/inseam combos left.
The Picks: Tallia Navy Windowpane Wool Blazer – $161.49 ($275) | RL Gloves – $62.40 ($78)
Looks like a semi affordable version of this. Certainly not risk free (haven’t seen it in person) but at least it’s from a brand that leans younger and trimmer. Ships free. Returns free in store. The gloves look like a new take on the quilted moto gloves from last year. Quilted up to the knuckles and snap strap at the wrist. The previous version ran awfully small. Who knows if they got the sizing a little more accurate this time.
The Picks: Gitman Bias-Stripe Wool Tie – $40.60
The sale at LastCall.com ends this morning at 8am Central, but they run sales often enough that you think they’ll be on sale again in the not too distant future. Made in the USA, wool, 2.75″ wide, and get a load of those stripes.
The Picks: Plaid Herrington – $82.60
Lots of exclusion with this one, and they include the GQ collection, denim bottoms, and even cords. But these appear to be fair game. High hopes for that 50% wool navy herringbone blazer. It looks awfully chopped though. Got it on the way for an in-person.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
With a focus on holiday events. It's their last sale before their shipping cutoff.
