Free Shipping No Minimum with FSANN5
Extra 40% off men’s offer expires tomorrow morning, 7/31/12 at 8 am CT.
We’re in a retail desert on the calendar. End of summer and it’s still too hot to really be thinking a lot about fall (there are some exceptions). Maybe that’s why LastCall bumped their usual offer of 40% off one item up to 40% off no limit. There are some exceptions but the majority of what (little?) they have is available for the discount. At least FSANN5 still gets you free shipping no minimum.

Neiman Marcus Flat Front Wool Blend Pants – $69.00 ($175)

All right all you trouser fans. Navy, wool blend, and made in Canada. No word on what the “blend” % is though. Dress pants can get expensive quick. These seem reasonable. Virgin wool with an unfinished hem.
Gorilla USA Grey Suede Chukka – $129.00 ($295)

More on grey and grey suede tomorrow. Goodyear welt construction, made in the USA, a hugely versatile but not black or brown upper, and now at a real reasonable price. Is that red tag at the heel a little distracting? Maybe. A deal breaker for a boot made this well at this price? That’s up to those who are in the market.
Hugo Boss Dark Grey Grid Suit – $390.00 ($895)

That’s still pretty far up there for an “imported” suit, but with sizes starting at 36S, it’s worth a mention for the guys of smaller builds who wear suits a lot, yet can’t find a shadow plaid like this. Still a risk at almost $400.
Varvatos Medallion Boot – $207.00 ($598)

Whoa. Six hundred retail? That’s a bit extreme. But Varvatos stuff can run high. No word on the construction. Made in Italy from smooth calfskin. Cheaper Star USA “imported” version available at DSW for $150. Brown available there too. Only black available in the Italian made seen here.
Neiman Marcus Trim Fit Wrinkle Free Micro Check – $33.00 ($89.50)

The pink/blue/green trio in this shirt makes for a real easy way to brighten up a charcoal suit. Perfect for the guys who prefer to keep things dark and simple, but every once in awhile want to mix it up.
Neiman Marcus Card Case in Brown or Black – $15.00 ($50)

The least expensive, most simple, and still ships free accessory that deserves to keep getting mentioned. If you don’t have a card case and want one to slim down your look when in a suit or while wearing a jacket, it’s hard to go wrong with either of these.
Walk-Over Derby in “Gaucho”, “Natural”, or Suede Wingtip in White – $119.40 ($269)

Not much time (if any) left to wear those suede wingtips in White, but might become a go-to summer shoe for the future. Gaucho and natural derby shoes are pretty plain, but built to last here in the USA. More on Walk Over here. More views available on Zappos, where the colors sure do look a bit different.
Cole Haan Colton Saddle – $83.40 ($198)

WHOA. Well… all right then. Reverse of this. Nice price at least. But would you?
The Extra 40% off Men’s sale at Lastcall.com expires at 8 am CT on 7/31/12.
YES on the Cole Haans. For that price I can deal with only wearing them once in a blue moon…
Been using that card case for a few months now. Don’t know if I’ll ever go back to a wallet.
The card case is a definite, its so clean and simple. Considering the Walk-Over in Gaucho for wearing with Dark Denim.
I picked up a few shirts last night when I noticed the sale. I would love to grab that suit, but the one size they don’t have it in is 38R.
The yellow in the sole is a little much on the Cole Haan’s. Saddle shoes are already approaching “costume” status, but blue+brown+red+yellow?
No thanks.
Those trim-fit Neiman Marcus shirts are the best trim-fit, dress shirt value out there at $30. I pick them up, one at a time, with the 40% discounts. Only problem – the neck sizes fit a bit tight, but I just leave them unbuttoned and cinch them down with a tie anyway.
I got all three of the walk-over’s several weeks ago. Fantastically comfortable. Look great. Excellent materials and shaping.
Um, the Gorilla grey suede chukkas are now $215 (down from 295), not $129. They magically were marked up in the last few seconds… What’s going on?
I like the styling on the pair of Varvatos shoes that I have, but I’m not sure I’d pay more than $100 for the quality. It is a different shoe, but just a heads up. The leather won’t blow your mind.
A super bright, electric blue moon.
The Colton Saddle would work well with white chinos… and worn in Cuba (or Miami). Expensive cigar and Scarface Hawaiian shirt optional but recommended.
Just picked up a pair of the Hugo Boss Reliance black wingtips. I have no experience with HB shoes, but I needed a black pair badly. $75 plus shipping and tax.
I should have checked here first for the shipping code!
I have seen the card case in person and the leather is nice but it has the same problem as most others I have found…the leather is not stitched around the actually opening where you slide the card in. I had one from J Crew that I loved because it had 3 slots on each side but eventually the leather seperates from the cloth lining and you end up catching the card on it…anyone else experience this?
Anyone got a perspective on the sizing on those grey suede boots? I think they look awesome. Debating between those and a pair of grey suede oxfords.
Tan or khaki flat front chinos would be a good conservative bet, or dark denim jeans to dress up a casual look. Add a khaki sport coat, and you’ll be stylin’ ma friend.
I also picked up that card case recently and its great. Nothing flashy, but decent leather and is holding up well.
And then I saw these… http://needsupply.com/mens/new-items/desert-guard.html. Clarks Desert Guard chukka boot with 2-eye lace up closure,
traditional suede uppers trimmed with a band of full grain leather and
plantation crepe rubber outsole. Hmm…
Good advice – thanks Keith.
Those look pretty sweet. Good price and hard to go wrong with Clark’s comfortability.
I’ve been using a card case for years. Add a money clip/magnet and it beats a wallet any day.
I just got the Gorilla chukkas and MAN am I glad I got them! The leather insole they have in the heel is extremely comfortable, and the soles are a thing of beauty. I like these better than the J. Crew leather chukkas I picked up- the suede texture and color is amazing. Thanks, Dappered!
Just received the Gorilla chukkas and was so excited! But that turned to disappointment quickly, the color is very dark navy/gray. http://tcsupplyshop.com/tcsupplyshop-shoes/gorilla-usa/gorillausa-suede-dress-chukka-grey.html They must’ve had a different photo. Quality, affordable, light-colored ,suede chukkas are so very hard to find!
