The Quiet J. Crew/J. Crew FACTORY Extra 30% off Sale…

April 12, 2012 By Joe | Heads up: Buying via our links results in us getting a commission (not always, but just about), which helps keep the lights on around here. We also take your privacy rights seriously. Head here to learn more.

Use code SHOPNOW for Extra 30% off J. Crew Sale / Factory

Code should be good through Friday 4/13.  Doesn’t seem to be advertised anywhere.  Top Photo Credit: Paul Mison

Stock can get wiped out pretty quick during J. Crew Extra 30% off Sale / Factory Sale items events.  That might not be the case this time.  The extra 30% off code SHOPNOW is active through Friday, and they recently added some new stock to their sale section.  It’s far from overflowing, but combine with that some already unusually low FACTORY prices, and some prices are getting into larceny territory.  Be warned.  A lot of these are final sale items…
.

Redwing for J. Crew Sandblasted Classics – $118.99 ($375)
Can't imagine these dipping any lower.

As Uncle Jesse used to say:  Have Mercy.  A hundred and twenty bucks?  Plenty of sizes left?  Throw your wallet across the room now if you’re a boot guy and your budget is already stretched for the month.  Made in the USA, Goodyear welt, legendary quality.  The one drawback:  They’re final sale.

J. Crew Merino V-Neck – $38.50 ($69.50)
Merino can still work in Spring and Summer.

Not a bad price for a non-Factory J. Crew merino V neck.  Lightweight enough for cool summer nights, and comes in a few different colors in most sizes.  Under $40.  Know that there are some even cheaper options in limited colors that might be final sale.  Also some available in “slim” for those that don’t have much weight on them.

J. Crew Broken In Pocket Tee – $13.30 ($24.50)
And now at Target prices.

Hard not to like Pocket Tees.  They’re more interesting than a plain crew or V, but obviously don’t have any unnecessary graphics.  Grown up but still obviously real laid back.

Tretorn for J. Crew Waxed Canvas Sneakers – $38.50 ($65)
All-Star type of price.

Well the waxed canvas versions didn’t seem to sell well.  Full review of the non-waxed versions over here.

J. Crew Broken In Long Sleeve Pocket Polo – $24.50 ($49.50)
Wear over a contrasting crew neck tee.

It’s the super light-weight alternative to a rugby.  Collar is the same weight as the body, which is again, a real light-weight jersey.  Perfect weekend wear if you’re laying low.

Red Wing for J. Crew Round Toe Boots – $104.99 ($240)
Ugly in an awesome kinda way.

Red Wings that are almost under $100.  Ridiculous.  “Oiled Muleskinner Suede” and Goodyear welt construction.  Like the other pair of Red Wings, these are Final Sale, so no returns.

J. Crew Factory Thompson Suit Jacket & Pant – $158.20 total ($206 – $256)
If they do one in navy, maybe Splash Mountain for photos?

The best affordable suit of 2011 drops to as low as it gets.  Full review here.  There’s really nothing close to these separates when it comes to bang-for-the-buck in affordable suiting.

J. Crew Factory Thompson Navy Blazer – $82.60 ($128)
A standard in cotton. Dresses up or down easily.

There’s not a ton of lightly structured navy blazers out there quite yet.  This one will be a noticeable step up from Target’s Kensington.  Well under $100 with the code.
UPDATE:  They just jacked the price back up to full retail on this.  So, the code no longer applies.  Sorry guys.

J. Crew Factory Two Color – $27.65 or Three Color Tattersall – $20.65
Plenty of use will come from these.

In the J. Crew Factory “tailored” fit.  The two color tattersall will be more versatile and easier to dress up a bit, but remember, these are both washed shirts with a button down collar, so they won’t be able to get too dressed up.  The thinner the lines and the less color, the more dressed up it can get.  Like this option. Under $20 with the code.

J. Crew Factory Plaited V-Neck – $10.15 ($49.50)
The ten dollar cotton sweater. Sure.

If you’re going to goof around with a lighter green like the one on the left?  Probably best not to invest too much money in it.  Navy is also available for the same dirt-cheap price.  Hoping they fit as well as the merino V necks.

J. Crew Factory Textured Tie Clip – $10.15 ($19.50)
Not worth the shipping price if buying solo.

2.25″ in width, nice lines… why the hell not if you’re in the market for one.
UPDATE: Like the navy blazer, it was on sale, now it’s not on sale, and the code only applies when Factory items are on sale (which 90% of the time, they are… so that’s why it’s no longer taking the discount.)

The Extra 30% off J. Crew Sale and J. Crew Factory Sale code SHOPNOW is expected to expire Fri 4/13/12.

Why having Siri, Alexa, and ChatGPT as stylists probably isn’t a great idea.

Because for a lot of us it’s still, at least on occasion, very cold. No item’s price breaks $100 this time.
