Orient Kamasu GMT Automatic – $445.50 w/ SAVEBIG ($495)
(Kamasu is the Japanese for Barracuda.)
Orient’s bestselling toothy diver just got a GMT addition.
It’s a big sucker though. Case diameter is 42.8mm, which is almost a full millimeter wider than the non GMT OG. Thickness is 13.4 mm. Lug width is 22mm. So while it’s not gigantic, it still may drown some smaller wrists. And considering the shrinking of watch diameters we’ve all witnessed over the last few years, this one’s probably best for average to larger sized folks.
Crystal is sapphire. Water resistance is 200m. Solid caseback (no exhibition window.) Movement is their in-house mechanical caliber F6P22 automatic. Hacks and hand winds. Power reserve is 40 hours.
That black/gray two-tone bezel option is certainly something.
We’ve got one on the way for a full in-person look. So stand by for that.
That’s all.
Carry on.
