The Esquire/JCPenny project Cladmen.com closed their doors this week. Wednesday specifically. And when they closed the doors, they appear to have locked it, closed all the windows, then burned it to the ground. Then burned the ground that it used to stand on. The thing is gone. It launched less than a year ago, and then was just sort of there. Merchandise wasn’t as expensive as Park&Bond, but it still had some of that same just-out-of-reach feel. Then the liquidation happened… and that was something.
Business Casual seems to be based around a theory that traditional, more dressed up business wear is “uncomfortable.” There’s just one problem with that theory. A suit should be one of the most comfortable things you own.
Lots of great advice in the comments. And remember: Anything that fits and fits well looks 10x more expensive than the same article of clothing which fits poorly.
