CLADmen Sale Part III

February 7, 2012 By Joe | Heads up: Buying via our links may result in us getting a commission. Also, we take your privacy rights seriously. Head here to learn more.

Cladmen.com additional 25% off Sale Items – No Code Necessary

Credit to Kenta with the style tip about the new inventory in the sale section.

By now, if you don’t know, the Esquire / JCPenny co-production CLADmen.com seems to be liquidating their inventory.  When word got out that they were doing an extra 25% off their sale section, the site was decimated.  Items were already ridiculously inexpensive, but the extra 25% off made it wild.

Remember, they’re going out of business, so returns might be a pain if not impossible at some point.  I myself got a phone call from a Cladmen rep informing me that a purchase was now out of stock and wouldn’t be shipped.  So it’s a bit of a crapshoot, but shoot if you will.
.

Cole Haan Air Stanton Chukka – $59.93 ($228)
Boots. Indeed.

Cole Haan is one of the brands that seems to have had a few more items added to the sale section.  Down to a measly $60 and again, ships free.

Cole Haan Air Stanton Cap Toe – $52.43 ($198)
Yes you can wear these with jeans.

Yep.  The lace up, cap toe, brogued out version is also on sale.  That’ll work.

Fratelli Rossetti Suede Penny Loafer – $63.68 ($245)
Perfect shape. Perfect everything.

Italian shoemaker Fratelli Rossetti is another one of the brands that has seen an influx of new additions to the sale section.  Good Grief.  $64 for those.  Your summer suit is gonna love you to bits.

Fratelli Rossetti Dexter Monk Straps – $127.43 ($495)
Dexter?

Double monks are loved by many, but single monks should never be brushed to the side.  Especially when a pair that was running five hundred is down to $130.  Made in Italy of course.

Fratelli Rossetti Nero Whole Cut Balmoral – $142.43 ($550)
The sum is the part. All of it.

Cut from from one piece of leather.  Not for everyone.  As sleek and as smooth as it gets.

Calvin Klein Charcoal and Navy Suit Separates – $137.10 ($550)
Cheapest suit this side of Target.

Who knows how these are going to fit.  It doesn’t seem to say anything about a more tailored fit, or, if these are from the closer fitting CK BODY line.  But $140 for a wool suit?  Got a tailor?  Does have some striping.  Side vents and the lapels look nice and trim.

Spurr Moleskin Vest – $117.68 ($395)
You either waistcoat or you don't.

A little expensive, even with the 25% off, but it’s made in the USA and has a cotton back instead of the usual silk or poly shined up stuff.  Tailored fit.

Varvatos Rounded Tortoise Sunglasses – $52.43 ($220) | Updated Aviators – $52.43  ($200)
Oakleys they aint.

A little funky, and it’s always hard to buy sunglasses over the web not knowing what they’ll look like on your face, but if you’re in need and want something different…

David Donahue Sterling Silver Tie Slide – $16.43 ($60)
And now they're just getting rid of stuff.

Sterling Silver?  For $16.43 shipped?  Nice texture too.  They also have one with a grid style texture for a little bit more cash.  These should go real fast.

Ted Baker Purple Velvet Coat – $163.43 ($625)
Ryan Gosling wears this and it's news.

If we were all able to gather up the collective courage housed within the entire readership’s b*lls, then one of us, using that gonadal conglomeration of chutzpah, might be able to pull this son of a gun off.

A warning: Like last time, this stuff should go quick.  And don’t expect glass smooth sailing on their website.  Word is out, so it’s possible that it’ll become a bit difficult to navigate if they get flooded with traffic.  Looks like their shoes and accessories section have seen the most additions.  Don’t be surprised if you think you have something, only to get a phone call from a customer service rep saying they sold out…

I was looking for a pair of tan shoes to for casual wear with jeans….couldn’t pass up the deal on the cole haan chukkas.  Thanks for the heads up on new inventory.  Does anyone know if these fit true to size?

Got the Air Stanton Chukka’s. Thanks for the heads up! If anyone ordered the J. Fold Trooper Bag and doesn’t like/want it for whatever reason, I would love to buy it. Was notified mine was cancelled today.

    February 7, 2012 at 6:09 PM

Does anybody know how the Air Stanton’s sizing runs? Or how long the tie bars are?

  5. DrBenji says

    February 7, 2012 at 6:11 PM

Those Calvin Klein seperates are super-tempting. I already ordered one of the Boss suits from Clad though, and I’m not sure I want to muck with two potentially ill-fitting, unreturnable suits.

  6. jack says

    February 7, 2012 at 6:44 PM

picked up a tie bar.  can’t argue with cheap sterling silver.

most of the white calvin klein underwear/undershirts are available in all sizes and on sale. Right now I have 5 pairs of the micro modal ones and I have to say, once you wear those, you’d never go back to plain old underwear again.

  8. Ish says

I called my local Cole haan and was told they fit true to size.

I also called my local Cole Haan store and they said Chukkas run the same as the dress shoes, I also got the grid tie clip

That Ted Baker jacket looks magnificent!!  I ordered it the second Joe posted the link to the first sale.  Should be here tomorrow, cannot wait to see how it looks in person!

BOSS Black Tuxedo for about $208 after discount.  Cummerbund and Bow Tie $31.  Navy Blue Blazer $85.  Bought ’em.  You can’t even find crappy polyester versions of these for those prices.  I think I snagged the last 46R tux.  Sorry.

I spoke to a customer service rep a few hours ago before pulling the trigger on the fratelli rosetti loafers and grid tie clip. According to her, you have the option to return or exchange any item purchased before February 15th. If you buy something after that date, its final sale.

  19. Guata1983 says

    February 7, 2012 at 10:21 PM

btw…when I asked her if they were going out of business, she said she had no clue.

So what’s the deal with CLAD branded stuff? I’m checking out the CLAD cashmere sweaters, thinking, “How well-made are these sweaters?” Anybody who’s tried ’em out, please give us a shout out regarding your experience! Thanks all… just ordered the Fratelli Rossetti Dexter Monk Straps. Liquidation is my friend.

  26. Joe G. says

    February 8, 2012 at 7:14 AM

Damn, they’re going out of business already?

Shame because I like their selection and pricing much better than their rival GQ’s Park & Bond e-store.

I’m really, really interested in those suede penny loafers. Especially at $65. Just not sure what size I would be, either a 10.5 or 11, and hate taking the risk if I can’t return them.

  27. DavidN says

    February 8, 2012 at 7:20 AM

I went to Macy’s to check out their calvin klein suits at the same price point and those armholes are pretty low imo. I’m not sure if you can fix that/how much it would cost but it seemed like too much of a headache for me to deal with. Just my 2 cents

  28. nail says

    February 8, 2012 at 7:47 AM

Wanted the suede penny loafers too but nothing in 9, 9.5, or 10 to even take a chance on unfortunately. If anyone was able to get them in those sizes and they dont work let me know!

  29. Brennan Knotts says

    February 8, 2012 at 7:59 AM

    I’m wondering the same thing…

  30. Chet Steadman says

    February 8, 2012 at 8:04 AM

I’m pretty sure I bought the same exact CK separates when I was in the middle of a long-distance move (i.e. all my suits were boxed up) and forgot to leave one suit out for work that Monday.

The quality is totally acceptable for an everyday suit (I work in a pretty stuffy, business formal environment and had no problems). I have pretty broad shoulders and the jacket didn’t look terrible without tailoring, though I did eventually get the sides taken in a little.

  31. trash says

    February 8, 2012 at 8:38 AM

Anybody know anything about Fratelli Rossetti? I can’t find a lot of comments elsewhere, but a few say they’re a good lower-end Italian maker and they run large, but I’m not sure how to much to size down…

  32. Doug C says

    February 8, 2012 at 8:41 AM

is anyone else having a problem with dead links? i’ve tried to purchase the chukkas but when i add it to my cart, the resulting page says it’s not found. i’ve tried different sizes as well.

  33. Derek says

    February 8, 2012 at 9:33 AM

Those single monks are effing DYNAMITE. Wish I could get them.

  34. Drew Conway says

That means they’re out of stock.

  35. Eharlow49 says

sadly, i realized that after posting. i try to avoid being “that guy.” i failed.

  37. CC says

    February 8, 2012 at 12:32 PM

I ordered a couple of the Varvatos dress shirts a month or so ago and was disappointed in the fit.  They weren’t really trim fit at all.  Might have been my measurements 16.5×33 but I returned them.  On the plus side, the return was easy.

  38. bfbraum says

    February 8, 2012 at 3:23 PM

Ordered a BOSS black suit, three ties, and a shirt. Today a box arrived… with the ties and shirt, no suit. I called customer service and they were very helpful, said they showed the suit as having shipped (but with a package weight of 5.5 lbs?), but that they’d do everything they could to figure out what was going on and a supervisor would call me back tomorrow. Friendly and helpful, but I’m worried. Will post part 2 once it resolves. Anyone else have a similar problem?

  39. Joe says

    February 8, 2012 at 3:51 PM

I ordered a suit, shoes, and jeans.  Got emails for the suit and shoes, but not the jeans.  Got a phone call a few days back saying they had sold out of the jeans.  No suit or shoes yet… so… I’m wondering too.

  40. Cornflake says

    February 8, 2012 at 7:02 PM

Really had to think on that purple jacket, but only 44’s left.  I’m sure my girlfriend will be happier without it in my closet lol.

  41. Cornflake says

    February 8, 2012 at 7:03 PM

If you don’t like it, and you ordered a 40 or 38, post on here. I was too late.

  42. michael reidy says

    February 8, 2012 at 7:59 PM

Interesting about the Feb 15th cut off. I wonder if this means there’ll be a FINAL final sale where there are additional markdowns. I see where someone asked them if there will be additional mark downs on twitter and the response was “no, we won’t be giving anything away for free.”

There are still some items on there that are intriguing but that I can’t quite pull the trigger on, like that Allegri Military Jacket.

For a total of $340 I picked up a pair of Bruno Magli’s, to Magli belts, a Dundee cardigan, two pairs of Varvatos dress pants, and a boss slim fit gingham shirt 16.5. All came today and only the Boss Slim fit was a bust (man those things are SLIM). If anyone wants it let me know.

  43. Y.O. says

    February 8, 2012 at 8:11 PM

Michael, I want that Boss Gingham shirt, if it’s the black gingham posted. Is it at 16.5L which is the 34/35 sleeve length? I’ve been looking for it!

  44. fjm says

    February 8, 2012 at 8:47 PM

Nero is black in Italian, so based on that alone I would say black.

  45. michael reidy says

    February 8, 2012 at 8:48 PM

Y.O. Unfortunately it wasn’t the black, but the blue. Black was sold out by the time I got there.

  46. Anonymous says

    February 8, 2012 at 9:02 PM

Hmm, I still may be interested. Is it a 16.5L (34/35)? How much you do you want for it shipped?

  47. MRR says

    February 9, 2012 at 6:35 AM

Shirt is 16.5R, 33/32. Let me know if still interested.

Anyone get the Boss Gingham in a 15/32-33 that they don’t want anymore?  If so, I’ll buy it.

  50. Kyle says

    February 9, 2012 at 5:33 PM

I’m also wondering how the Fratelli Rossetti’s fit.

  51. Anton Truong says

    February 9, 2012 at 9:17 PM

Ordered a Boss Gingham shirt and Lacoste tennis shoes. The packaging is so nice (looks like Apple packaged it.) Everything looks good.

  52. Anonymous says

    February 10, 2012 at 8:57 AM

I’m not getting the extra 25% off anymore.

  53. Guy Incognito says

    February 10, 2012 at 12:42 PM

Clad changed its sale.  No more 25% off at checkout.  But, some items appear to have additional mark downs.

  54. Funkyfrenchie says

    February 10, 2012 at 6:28 PM

25% is gone definitely, but the G-shock at  this price are awesome.

Bring back the extra 25% off

  56. bfbraum says

    February 13, 2012 at 3:25 PM

It took a few calls, and talking with a supervisor, but they did ultimately credit me with a refund for the suit. Very much appreciated.

They needed to go out of business. Their customer service was terrible!
