Mike Konos Two-Tone Saddle – $122.90 ($149.95) w/code INDULGE*
*You do have to join their email list to use this. Also, code SHIPR gets you free shipping. The INDULGE code gets you $10 off $49, $20 off $99, and $35 off $149. Which is extra nice since the Mercanti Fiorentini monk straps are back in stock (with a darker brown cognac this time?) Credit Jordan with the code tip via the facebook page.
Urkel wore saddle shoes. But he didn’t wear saddle shoes like these.
Steve wore the more traditional version… A lighter colored base with the dark saddle across the top. These are some of the modified, more subtle, darker versions that have been making their way onto the market as of late.
The Mike Konos option up top isn’t even a true oxford.. Perforations and lighter colors on the lace flaps set these bluchers apart (but in a good way?) Made in Italy too.
Allen Edmonds has put their lug sole Steinbok on sale for half off, making it now $147.50. The brand JD Fisk offers a pair in that same dark brown (or black?) saddle on brown upper color scheme. But be aware of the “creased” leather uppers. Too much creasing and they could get real funky real fast.
So would you wear one of these? Or are they too odd for your tastes? Leave your take in the comments below…
