Got a style tip from Martin about how Brooks Brothers has some decent items in their clearance section right now, and I stumbled across the above Italian made business case for around 60% off. Here’s the description:
“Soft calfskin leather with brass hardware. Navy Golden Fleece lining. Inside zipper and organizer pockets. Lock closures and detachable leather straps. Two straps with front clip closures. Made in Italy.”
Sounds great to me. But why the gigantic discount? Check out the reviews. They aren’t kind:

Wow. “I was offended that this got past the QAQC.” Holy God that guy must be a real kick at cocktail parties. As one of my best friends so eloquently puts it: “Our society is suffering from an epidemic of butt hurt,” and those overreacting reviews must have played some kind of role in this case being marked down to the low $200s. Now it might actually be a sub-par product, and even at $230 it’s got some cost to it… but good grief just return it. Sometimes it seems like unhappy customers get some odd pleasure out of writing a scathing review.
It’s on its way. Should arrive late this week, and I’ll let you guys know if I’m offended upon it’s arrival.
