Steal the Style: Stoudemire’s Gotham Magazine Profile
6’10”, millionaire, and apparently just fine with wearing a $215 watch. (But he does wear a $21,000 watch in another photo). Gotta hand it to Amar’e. I’m no Knicks fan, but he’s the tinder and kindling that got the Knick’s fire back up and going. Time will tell if Carmello Anthony is the right sized split piece of wood to make it grow, or, he’s just some too-weighty log that’ll snuff everything out. Campfire analogies aside, here’s how to get Amar’e’s above look on the cheap:
- The Shirt: H. McGill Gingham Dress shirt – $49 | Calibrate Trim Fit Gingham – $69.50
.
Electric teal, medium gingham. Not the easiest shirt to find for cheap but either of the above two options should be close enough to replicate the look. This Club Room (non fitted) is also in the ballpark.
- The Tie: GAP Linen Silk Blend Solid Slim Tie – $29.50
.
A bright Gingham shirt will do well with a solid tie w/ texture. The GAP tie should deliver for under $30.
- The Watch: D&G Jimmy Z – $215.00
.
If you want something sportier at half the cost, take a look at the D&G Rhythm Sport – $119.97 ($295)
. - The (possible) Rest: Docker’s D1 – $29.99 | Type Z Suede Laceups – $87.20
.
If you’re going with light grey chinos, try black suedes. Jeans? Dark grey instead. Want to add a huge dose of color? How about these bright red sued wingtips from Johnston & Murphy? Not for beginners.
