Strengths: The upscale mid price-range department store. Just before you hit Bloomingdale’s/Saks/Neiman Marcus territory, there lies Nordstrom . The last outpost of reasonable pricing just before you hit that unmoving gold-plated wall of luxury, but still plenty of upscale names at Nordstrom. Their house brand dress shirts are top notch. In-house brands like Calibrate, 1901, etc. also great. Their Half Yearly Sale for Men. The Rack. Great shoe selection. Nice watch department. Easy to use website.
Weaknesses: They’re in the middle for pricing but sometimes they lean a little hard towards the high end. Sales can be few and far between.
.
Strengths: Another well executed J. Crewification of a normally bulky and older brand. Trimmed down (but not actually all that slim) fits. B+ basics at A+++ prices. Terrific sales. Not afraid to branch out into blazers, ties, and shoes. Their incredible return policy, which reads: “…return anything at anytime for any reason for a full refund of its purchase price” Simple enough…
Weaknesses: You do have to pay shipping ($6.95 flat fee) to return items. The fit isn’t as athletic as you think it’d be… it’s slimmer, but it’s not slim. While they excel at good to very good, there aren’t many items that you’ll be completely drooling over.

UPDATE: L.E.C. dominates Nordstrom, and looks like they could seriously win it all.

It's nice when a brand warns their customers in advance of raising their prices.
Spring ready sneakers, grooming goods, watches, etc. Saddle up. Amazon's spring sale is on.
New sportcoats. Italian desert boots. J. Crew dips their promo-toes into spring.
From de-scaling irons to shining shoes to smelling coat pits. Let's clean up our act.
New Seikos are on sale, and J. Crew's Suit event is expiring soon.
The two Bs go head to head, collar to collar, and lapel to lapel.
