Credit to David for noticing the polo’s return.
Mossimo. Not Merona. Both sold by Target, but when it comes to their tees and polos, they’re shaped about as similar as Marissa Miller and… I don’t know, Alf. Mossimo has a great trim fit with thinner fabric. Merona will load you down with thick boxy cuts. And after a long hiatus, Mossimo, the Marissa Miller of under $10 tees and polos, has finally returned to the racks at your local Target.
For the tees, Mossimo switched from last year’s 100% cotton makeup to a 60/40 cotton poly blend. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Cotton poly blends seem to wear longer and lay better. They also stretch a little more when you move. My personal favorite t-shirt of all time is a 50/50 cotton poly blend that’s 15 years old and just starting to thin out. My two 100% cotton Mossimo tees from last year are beginning to shred at the collar.
But in all fairness I wear them quite a bit. And for $8.00 I’m not complaining.
