5. J. Crew Factory Wool Walking Coat – $106 (reg. $178)
If you’ve gotten this deep into fall/early winter without a wool coat, you’re probably starting to shiver. Single breasted, great cuffs, amazingly cheap. But you have to buy it on the weekends (if you’re buying online), because that’s the only time J. Crew’s Factory site is live.
.
4. Hilfiger 25th Anniversary Strap Watches: Black Dial – $115.00
| White Dial – $115.00

Happy 25th anniversary Mr. Hilfiger. Now you could either celebrate by unloading over $300 on his overpriced trim fit anniversary blazer, or… you could get one hell of a sweet watch for a third of that. Both come with one plain strap and one striped strap. Numerals on the black dial look to be a bit larger.
.
3. Kenneth Cole Wool iPad Case – $68.00

I don’t even have an iPad. Hell, I don’t even have a Mac. Closest I got is a second generation iPod shuffle, which would look a little funny if I carried it around in this thing. It’s the marriage of 21st century technology and an age-old fabric that really makes this thing look good.
.
2. Cost Plus Dexter Bonded Leather Chair – $199.99 (reg. $299)

This is the time of year for one of these chairs from Cost Plus, a book, and a good pour of Zaya. Yes it’s bonded (meaning it’s barely leather… think swept up pieces melted down and in the end, mainly vinyl) but if feels great. Looks pretty good in person too. If you want something more speakeasy / club looking, their Hawthorne chair in Chocolate Brown is incredible. $399 now, but watch for a sale.

1. Timberland Earthkeepers 6-Inch Zip – $170.00 $115.95 SHIPPED w/code 12345
Huge credit to Aa who left the code in the comments section. Code expires 12/6

Not cheap by any stretch, and the burnished brown (not tan, brown) is exceptionally difficult to find. Except for if you’re shopping on Timberland.com Anybody seen these somewhere else for a little less? (UPDATE: Aa has. Use code 12345 as mentioned above for 40% off) Leave those leads in the comments section below.
Timberland is having a 40% off FF sale through December 6th – use code 12345. Makes those boots borderline affordable!
Wow thanks for the 40% code @ Timberland, works and brought 160$ down to 110$.
Nice one Aa. That could be the code of the month (and it’s only Dec. 1st)
I knew I should have waited! But when I saw them at $136 shipped I couldnt pass em up. Should be coming in the mail tomorrow, cant wait.
Happy to help – wish it was alive when I bought my “urban escapes” last month.
12345 that sounds like the code some idiot would have on his luggage lock! Remind me to change the password on my luggage! The boots appeal to me, unfortunately I just bought glasses. No more fun money for a few weeks.
No offense, but that is a pretty ugly chair. 🙂
Just received my J. Crew Factory Wool Walking Coat via UPS about an hour ago (by the way, I was able to order this directly from the J. Crew website on Tuesday, no need to wait for the weekend’s Factory site to be live).
There is a neat feature that isn’t advertised – there is a neck flap that is buttoned on the inside of the jacket. When it gets truly brisk, you unbutton it from there and fasten it to the buttons that are hidden by the collar. That is a nice touch.
Overall, the subtle detailing is great and the fit is fantastic (I have slightly narrow shoulders and J. Crew seems to be tailored for me). My only complaint (and it is a rather minor one) are the buttons seem flat, almost cheap. I’m going to live with them for a while, but I may have my tailor replace them… but overall this coat is an excellent value. I can easily see getting numerous seasons out of it.
-update- There is some rayon blended in the wool. The inner shell is polyester. Their website says the coat is poly-wool – not sure if that wording covers the rayon, but it still looks rather decent, even under a harsh bright blue autumn sky.
